My new ‘64 Imperial convertible

Thanks fellas! I just took a quick look underneath and this 413 isn’t even leaking oil from the rear main and the coolant that cycled out of the block was clean and green!:)

Seeing clean and green coolant is one of the most exciting finds when buying a car. It usually means the heater core is good, the core plugs are sound and the radiator will go further too without overheating.
Excellent!

Had it running again today just because  so the battery was hooked up for a while and the light in the trunk took me by surprise.

Another vid before I get back to my client work full time.
I’m sending the AFB to Dana and the brake booster to Dewey and Steve.

So here’s the extent of the rust on this car and I’m in search of these patch panels if anybody happens to have them.

It’s a replacement, the original was black but I prefer the white and I’m happy with its condition, just needs a new back window.

Got the carb back from @Dana and He did exactly as I asked and didn’t restore it, just cleaned it up a bit in the rebuild process to match the rest of the engine room.
I can’t wait to try it out but it might have to wait a couple of days.

One last post for the year on this thread. I finally found some evidence as to what part of California this car is from. It’s not conclusive but still fun.:)
This was behind the rear quarter interior trim panel and was probably dropped down where the top folds down into.

I know how to do it. Put your finger in the hole and push the dime.
