Tesla launches new truck, things don't go too well

It takes a special kind of stupid to spend $70,000 on an all-wheel drive truck that doesn’t even have a box and can only drive a max of 500 so called miles ! The windows were made of bullet Proof glass and shattered at his grand showing. What a scam .

Here is a pic of it’s cargo compartment. You need the camping gear when you run out of power in the forest.

WTF is that thing??? :realcrazy: Is that suppose to compete with Jeep? Or even Subaru? That must be what happens when you smoke that high power weed. You start thinking the Aztec looks good.

It's the F117 stealth plane of pickup trucks! The F117 is not an attractive looking plane but it got the job done. OTOH, this shape is not practical for a pickup truck. Rear seat headroom is probably compromised. Box-side flying buttresses go all the way back, so no way you can access the box from the side. Also wouldn't be able to outfit it to pull a goose-neck trailer.

Some of the fan-made renderings circulating on the web look much better than this. Definitely a missed opportunity to show-up the mainstream manufacturers by designing something even more practical. :(

Even Tom Corbett's space cadets can't believe what they're seeing, still I believe anything is possible if the right celebrities feed it to the sheepish public, I think the same Thing about a Hummer.

One easy and more practical solution would have been to design a short box for the Model-X body, like this. Lose the falcon-wing doors so a roof rack can be fitted. Then it would at least be a decent competitor to the Honda Ridgeline.

Or thinking more outside the box, since there’s no big engine in front, they could’ve used cab-forward styling for better maneuverability and better visibility, like this 2014 VW concept, except with Tesla styling.

I never thought the Aztec was good looking, until I saw that Tesla thing. There's not enough weed to make it look good, ever.

So that makes this what, the fourth tesla that's been unveiled but is not yet in production?

They've got the Semi, Roadster, Model Y, and now this monstrosity. I can't say I have high faith in Tesla's production abilities after seeing what happened with the Model 3. Now they're supposedly going to be releasing all four of these models in the next two years. Hmmm

I agree with everything said, but I doubt if any of us are his target market. :)
