I heard on the news that Tesla shared dropped 6% today. Sounds like investors don't have much initial faith in this thing either.

Besides it's ugly, I wonder: why the bullitproof glas ?????? for what? Protecting the bad guys from getting shot or something ??? :realcrazy::realcrazy::realcrazy::realcrazy:

Somebody wasted a lot of money going to auto design school!
Believe it or not, this truck and the Tesla Roadster were both designed by the same person, Franz von Holzhausen. He was the guy who threw the metal ball at the windows of the truck during the presentation.

A Pontiac Aztec is downright stylish compared to this. A Honda Ridgeline is an exceptionaly HD pickup in comparison! Of course, we now have a wonderful national infrastructure of clean and plentiful charging stations nationwide where...say what? We...don't...have those yet? Ah, ****, wake me up when we get that in place, so these electric trucklets can be practical!

I will be sure to buy one the next time I need to move a fish bowl.

Is it just me or does elon musk look like a Bond Villan? That guy scares me.
Villain? Well he does build cars that catch fire and the autonomous one's have mowed down pedestrians and caused several fatal crashes. To suggest he is a villain suggests he intends to cause harm. More likely he is a huckster using the motoring public as guinea pigs hoping to make money once his cars are perfected. I suspect the major pending lawsuits on his defective cars might soon bring this experimental phase to its conclusion.

Not a national one, but Minnesota is using the VW settlement money ($47M for MN) and half of that is going towards a statewide charging station network that will total 2400 miles of range (something like that) which the article I read said was the maximum allowed?

Will make for a great road trip in a Chevy Volt, lets see, 8 hours of charging to get 60 miles before a recharge is needed. That works out to something like 320 hours plus drive time to travel the 2400 miles. Horse might be faster but feel good Earth Firsters would complain about all that organic discharge. I guess they could collect it to feed their pot plants. Our idiot governor in Oregon signed off on a charging station every 40 miles on the interstate so it would be possible to drive an electric car all the way from the Washington border to the People's Republic of California.
