Irishman

These Hollywood types get political at their own risk. Presidential elections continue to show the country is basically divided equally. When they go off the rails into politics they just piss off half their audience. Most are just children playing someone else for a living. Dinero’s childish tantrums just exposed him for an idiot imo.

OK. Commando1's unsolicited review after watching it today.

That movie captured absolutely nothing about Hoffa Sr., The Teamsters, or actually what happened.
Plus it sucked.
Just Scorsese, DiNiro, Pesci, and Keitel doing one last buddy flick reunion before they become totally unbookable. And they have now become that.
The only person who busted their *** on that movie was the set designer. Outstanding attention to detail.
Right down to the truck that had the heater bypassed. That's accuracy.

Except for the brand new (modern) looking carburetor.

I had planned to take a pass on it anyway. The whole Goodfellas group jumped the shark long ago. You knew the movie was not gonna prove anything new re: his disappearance. Every time I drive by that restaurant can’t help but picture him getting stuffed the trunk of some car.

From the replies, it seems to have been the general consensus yet it's getting great reviews from the film industry critics. :realcrazy:
Dozed off at least once during it...

I wasn't impressed, but since I confined to my recliner with generic dayquil doing its best to fight the cold I caught on Thanksgiving, I had the time to spend on it.

My conclusion is that it's past time all those actors retired. Occasionally, I thought I was watching Casino. Same narration and characters.... and it was three freaking hours long.

If DeNiro is in it I'm out...
I gave up watching anything out of Hollywood many years ago and I'm not about to start with this movie. The constant stereotyping and leftist messaging of almost every movie I watched left me cold. Let's just be careful we don't start sounding like the left on the topic of freedom of speech. I would be happy to let Di Niro spew his vitriolic TDS if he wasn't part of the leftist cancel culture hypocrisy. IMHO it is better to understand what freedom of speech means and its corresponding responsibilities. In this case our responsibility is not to shut down the purveyors of BS rather we must "slay them with the truth". In this short clip Gad Saad explains this concept far better than I ever could.
