Working on a 66-300 convertible with electric bucket seats, and console. Anyone have a recommendation for a carpet source?

I got mine from rock auto. It is the same ACC carpet that legendary and everyone else sells and was about 1/2 the price. I went with the carpet with the Mass backing. It was tougher to cut and work with, but it is much firmer and fit the floor great.

John, do you know if your recommendation carries carpet for a 1970 Sport Fury with carpet molded OVER seat belt re-tractors?
I don't know... There was a long thread about how the rear carpet fit a few years ago and I don't know how it all resolved. There does seem to be some differences between (IIRC) Fuselage Dodge, Plymouth and/or Chrysler rear floor pan length to the rear seat platform.

In my case, the carpet from Trim Parts fit my Chrysler perfectly and covered the re-tractors nicely. The ACC carpet in the car was installed a couple owners ago, many years ago, and was sourced from Legendary. It didn't fit well at all, but I'm not sure if that was an installation issue or it just didn't fit. Unfortunately, Trim Parts was bought up by ACC, so that adds another level of "I don't know". It's my understanding that the Trim Parts tooling was acquired by ACC, so they may have it covered.

IMHO, it may be better to buy from Stock Interiors (the link I posted) as I believe they have a direct relationship with ACC. Pricing seems to be in line with other vendors. Buying from Rock Auto might save a couple bucks, but service after the sale with RA is known to be abysmal at best.

Got ACC for both C bodies. Not perfect but just take your time installing it.
I took it out of the box and let it "rest" in the car for a few days.
Check and double check 3 times before cutting the carpet.
On the BoaB a little short going up the firewall but does not bother me since I don't look up there when i am driving..
Carpet is one of the very few parts being reproduced for the C bodies,so no complaints from me.
Overall,I am happy with the product..better than what I started with which was...no carpet,LOL!!

chrysler rear foot wells are a little longer than the others. i took a set of seat belts from a junk 69 300 and the carpet over the humps was separate from the main carpet.

The ACC carper fit my 66 Polara Convertible in the back, but was short on a 68 drop top.
I have to say there are quality issues. The sewn seam on the front carpet was wavy. Much of it trimmed off but some didn't.
Take your time if you have a floor console. I almost cut mine short.

If you buy the console replacement pieces (which only list for B bodies) they are a poor match too. B and C bodies in 66 should use the same console.

Competition usually makes for higher quality. When you're the only game in town you don't have to be good anymore.

Many thanks for all of your inputs. I just spoke with the Service Dept. at the ACC factory in Aniston, AL.
They do not make a carpet set for 66-300 convertible. Looks like I will have to get one custom made
from a local Auto Upholstery shop. There are two pieces in the carpet set, front and back. I have the original front carpet
but the back carpet was totally rotted outwith the floor. Does anyone have a picture of the back carpet??

Check this out...

Surely the 2 door carpet should work.
Or buy the carpet buy the yard and get your guy to make the carpet.
The only problem is the carpet by the yard is not molded and will have to be glued down to confirm to the floorpan shape.
Did that with my 68 NYer I had before the BoaB

It is a good idea to reinstall the front seat before cutting, (if needed), the carpet at the sill plates. Tightening the seat mount bolts will pull the carpet and may result in it being to short in that area.

As @cbarge said, the 2-door hardtop carpet will work fine. If anything, you'll just trim more away from the rear section because of the side panels which cover the top mechanism.

I bought a carpet years ago (from Trim Parts I think) for my 2-door hardtop and it came-up short in the front under the dash, just as shown in @cbarge 's picture. I also bought the matching floormats and they sucked... much too small to fit the front footwells. Recently I bought an ACC capet for my hardtop. It did not come-up short in the front, but there was very little overlap between the front and rear sections, so be careful laying it out exactly before cutting. Again I bought the matching floormats and very happy with these ones. Good size and the shape of the drivers mat is angled around the gas pedal.

Anyone buy their carpet from Dantes Parts? Priced $120 less than ACC. Appears to be exact same rugs.

I just searched and I don't get it? Did you ask them what's the difference between the 2DRHT and a Convertible carpet and what, where, and why they won't interchange between the 2? I find this very hard to believe that they won't work and your just letting them roll you over.
I know I would want some answers about this! Good Luck
