for the computer people out there. i need to get pics off my canon digital camera onto my iMac desk top for insurance company when i add another car to my classic car ins this week. am i able to do this without using my old photo bucket that i cannot remember the login info. because i took pics out the camera last year but i cannot copy and paste them they are just in the photos section. if so how because i am not to technilogicly literate and don't tell me just to use my smart phone because i do not have a smart phone.

since no one took a swing i will try to kindly do the needful.

canon digital camera and imac. ok.
open itunes on your mac i figure you gotta have itunes.
you may or may not also have canon camera software that would probably get the same end result.
hook up your camera to the mac with its USB or thunderbolt cable. turn camera on if not already.
it may pop up wizards/windows/ dialog menus that it may auto detect it and ask if you want to import new/all pics.
if it doesnt auto-happen, there has to be a choice like file > import or something like that, across the top menu bar.

please to let us know how we did.

Ok but its like 8AM in delhi it is the best support time desu :p

no seriously if you never used itunes before it will probably piss you off.

but i expect a jobisan device to be smart enough to do things automatically when you plug in the canon camera to the imac.

let us see what tomorrow brings

Is there not a removable SD card in the camera to either insert directly into the computer or with the use of a USB reader to copy and paste to your desktop?

you have already lost me on josisan device. when i got this iMac i had to migrate every thing from my dell to it. the dell and the mac sat side by side for 3 weeks until i called someone to do it. technology has passed me by.

They make it less and less intuitive to do something this simple. Sorry I laughed when I saw right off the bat “open itunes” ...

What I do for work high resolution pics is put an email app on your phone and then open the email and save it on your computer. I did yahoo because they limit how much you can send but it’s very simple. You can send one to 3 big pics at a time and that’s perfect for what I need. My laptop only wants my “new” pics so I email what I want around what it “wants”. Hope that is simple & easy enough I hate everything about computers & smart phones.

i had no idea what iTunes had to do with pics either but i got it them. i was not able to put the disc in the back of the computer was not supported. i found my cord for the camera and was able to use it.

a jobsian fondleslab is a ihaters name for an iphone. tbh apple was 1st i remember using an apple II probably before any other machine, maybe a timex sinclair or TRS model1 something before then, but not much. maybe 1980? around then.

glad you got the pics. dead steve jobs made itunes like the default media interaction on the apple - so video, pics, songs, probably books, etc are all gonna end up in there any type of media...

i dont actually possess any of their fine products, imma windows / andriod man myself.

Appreciate to we could assist, and please to surely give highest recommendation on upcoming survey.

Good Day!

You may have to go into your Camera settings and change your card storage to mass storage device from the MTP protocol which I think Mac's don't like, (It's been almost 2 decades since I've owned a Power Mac).

Can't get much easier than that on a PC.

(edit) Just now looking in my phone settings I have 2 choices for file transfer:

Media sync (MTP) = Transfer files in Windows, for Macs use... (selected)

Camera (PTP) Transfer photos by connecting as a camera (transfer files when MTP is not supported) This is what iTunes software probably recognizes.

Just go into your setting and just change things around till nothing works, then turn it all off and go grab a beer & the remote!
