Hello learned members of CBodies,

I am replacing a truly hacked up wiring harness in my 68 Sport Fury. The issue is finding a one to one swappable (or darned close) wiring harness on the internets. I would like to know if anyone had tried a B Body harness. The matching year Road Runner is 10” shorter and an inch narrower. IMHO, this means that you’ll be extending the wiring to the passenger side of the car. The firewall bulkhead connector is the same, which is half the battle.
Has anyone here researched this before?

thanks for your replies in advance.

Your best bet is to find a new one that fits, like the Evans Wiring link above, rather than try to stretch/make fit something else.

The other thing you can do is rebuild what you have. A piece of plywood and some finishing nails will get you started. This is the way they build wiring harnesses for many things. Replace one wire at a time and wrap with a non-adhesive tape like the factory used when done.

This place will have the correct color coded wire and some of the connectors you need.

Rhode Island Wiring Service Inc.

I always like the non-adhesive PVC black tape like the factory used. Looks OE when done, easy to strip back if needed etc.

Harder to find though...
