Since July I've been extremely busy with everything it seems... I rebuilt my Ram, did a bunch of stuff to my trailer, dealt with Moparfest, got my dad's car ready for Autofest, and have been dealing with ongoing family health issues on both sides.

My garage became a cluttered disaster in that time... I've spent a few days so far cleaning it up...

Ahem,

Okay this will be long winded.

I had planned to get back to the 73 in September, then life took over, over the last few weeks things have been a mess at best, Between health of some family members and work and other things, it's just now settling down...

I've ended up with a lot of changes, but come spring, this car will be painted and rolling on all 4 again.

I've been prepping my wife's old car to go up for sale, that's it's own long winded saga, the car was a problem from the time she bought it in 2012, and the experience we had with the dealer and the car has swore us off every buying anything that isn't from the big 3, it also has finally Convinced her that warranty is for those who can't perform automotive miracle's...

I've been hauling stuff all over the place and doing side work to make some spare cash, something I don't like to do...

I was layed off my position at the trailer place and I'm returning to working on cars....it is what it is, and sort of par for the course in this trade...every step is a step forward if you don't look back...

Sorry to here about the layoff, but welcome back to the world of professional auto repair.

So the wife going to be driving the Isuzu then? Sorry about getting layed off but hope your new job works out well for you.

We never buy new for the wife, 5 years or so old and I limit her on what vehicles she can buy, she gets to choose the options she wants. The caliber we bought a few years ago had to have "The princess package" as we called it....heated seats and mirrors, sunroof, power everything etc.

My in laws are trying to help me get into the school board maintenance shop. My father in law worked there until he broke his back.

I was just hauling the Izuzu for my friend, I did buy her a 2012 Escape XLT 4WD back in January, had 55k kms on it, fully loaded, black leather interior, heated seats, sunroof etc, etc. Got it for a good price, 1 elderly owner, dealer serviced, we bought it off the same dealer who sold it new and serviced it.

It's been great so far and she likes it.

I've been off and on busy lately.... I've nearly got my shop to the point I'm ready to attack the car again... Also have been moving stuff out of the garage into my storage space for the winter. Including the 88 5th Ave donor shell I brought back from Syracuse NY.

I had yesterday off, so I took a ride up to National Moparts, Nigel had invited me to come up and dig through the containers and yard, so I took the opportunity yesterday, I found a bunch of stuff for the other cars, but did also find a heat shield for the steering column coupler that the 73 was missing, and I bought a bunch of reproduction hardware and rubbers for it.
