On their site it’s says regrinds only as they are out of cores on Poly engines. Years ago they offered several grinds. They can hook you up if you can get them a core. I may have one I can ship to them. I’d have to dig for it. Haven’t seen it in decades

Greeting John! 88 coming along well. Hope to be done by Spring.
All the Best to you and your Family.

Happy Christmas!

Greg

A good cam for the poly is the HiPo 273 solid lifter at the E4 Isky specs

Lift ...................... .425"
Duration ............... 260*
Duration @ .050" ... 216*
Overlap ................. 44*

Same lift as 'Stock', but with 12* longer Duration, and an 18*
increase in Overlap.

Gives the 'little' 273 a good bump on the Low-End and early Mid-Range.

Great for a 'stock' 273 that is a Daily Driver.

LA cams won't work in a Poly.

how early a poly? seems i pulled a flywheel off a 59? poly and put it on my 331 hemi-----the early hemis 331-354-392 are a small block----an early street racer built a 59 poly out of a bored and stroked 392 and he capped it off with poly heads---which flowed pretty good in the day---he made steady money street racing with a seemingly stock car----would think he had to use a poly camshaft to match the pushrods to the poly head.......and hot rod guys have been capping off the old polys with a set of hemi heads for the look (not performance) the cam would have to be swapped that way as well.....

redline racing cams , spiro can grind yours into what you need , your custom grind a new blank cam to any specs you want . 408-313-0145 . he's already reground a few poly cams for buds of mine , does early hotrod cams for every mopar v8's and other makers as well .

Nope. They're both 59 deg.

Kevin
Yep that’s right. Had to refresh my memory. Yep both had the 59 degree. When Chrysler went to the LA wedge headed motors the angle of the push rod to rocker changed & Chrysler opted to regrind the cams instead of correcting the angle at the lifter to save engineering cost. Something they did on the R3 & later race blocks.
