Packardbaker. Interesting and unique wagon! Finding one of the similar "Hawkbakers" would certainly be a unique and valuable find.

Thanks for the pictures!

I never knew they offered a supercharged wagon. I kind of like it. Also, I see a lot of '56 President pieces on there.

I assume that you are talking about the '56-58 Golden Hawks. I actually know of one near me. It's in decent shape, not running, and sitting in an open shed behind an old single wide trailer just barley visible from the road. The old woman that owns it won't sell it or even talk to you, and it looks like she could really use the money. My grandpa was a Studebaker man and tried to buy it a few times 20 years ago. She would just run us off. I hate seeing cars die due to the owners pipe dream of "some day".

He means the 58 only Packard Version of the Studebaker Hawk. Always liked it, the fiberglass front end is not bad IMHO and the outside door padding is pretty unique.

The primitive supercharger is awesome. Stick that in a Model A roadster or something along those lines, That would be cool. The wagon has a ugly roof imo. Almost hearse like.

Yeah, that is a rather high roof. I find the the way the rear quarter's extend and the cabin is cut short, an even more interesting design feature. Looking at the rear bumper, it looks like one of those terrible "continental kits" until you look at the whole car.

I had no idea that those cars had a fiberglass nose. Makes perfect sense though. It would be hard to do that in stamped steel.
