That's what I do put a tent up behind my booth so I am near it and my truck in another one. Got spoiled last year with a parking spot!

I just figured I would add to this.
I'm staying at the Holiday Inn at Mechanicsburg,pa.

We will be competing in the same class as I am registered and plan to bring the Flyin Whale '66 Chrysler 300.
Not registering in the Chrysler 300 non-letter class?

I just reserved a room at the Country Inn in Harrisburg West. Homewood Suites was full; no more rooms with 2 queen beds at least.

Checking on show preregistration, I see there is C-body Stock and C-body Modified (4+ modifications) classes. I plan to bring my '66 Windsor 2-door hardtop. I didn't see and additional info online about what counts as ONE modification. I presume I should register in the modified category? Engine (stroker), transmission (GVOD), brakes (1973 discs), suspension upgrades from Firm Feel, non-factory paint colour. I also have non-factory buckets and console interior, but they are year-correct.

I will be driving 1700 miles. 26 hours if no stops.
If I bring a trailer and a car it's going to make it a two day drive instead of a hard one day.

The cool kids will be in the C Body row... Keep the hood closed, so the car looks right.

Oh, I forgot that they assign parking based on the class entered. That makes sense. I've only been to Carlisle once before so I forgot the drill. At Moparfest you can park wherever you want.

That's just crazy!!!!!! You need to learn the art of "the journey". There's a lot to see and do between you and Carlisle. I allow 4 days for 800 miles, towing my vintage camper over secondary roads. Look at a map, plan your journey, life's short. Don't rush through it.

As much as I agree with you, I'm not retired, or financially free, so I have to put the hammer down and make like the wind. I might be able to take back roads to a closer event like Volo, but Carlisle not so much. Being part of a caravan, it might not be quite so fast paced, but I don't think there will be many lazy stops. I'd sure like to take a couple more days to stop and smell the roses.

I would like to. I prefer to use back roads and not touch an interstate. But with picking up a barracuda in Boaz Alabama in February it takes a bite out of my vacation time.
Plus I am after parts, and extra days mean extra money which means less parts to buy at Carlisle. Car junky I know. I'll walk the swap at least 6 times to make sure I don't miss anything.
