What did you do to your C-body today....

Tired of adding power steering fluid every other day. Got off my procrastinating arse today. Changing orings. Thanks to those members that offered suggestions.

Edit-wrong seal kit. I ordered a Chrysler kit that wasn’t Saginaw. Turns out I have the small TRW pump, so I ordered the right kit from Steer and Gear.

I put a new radio and speaker in today after the old radio died on me! Decided to take advantage of a little dry weather to go for a drive to try out the new radio. Pretty cool that I found an AM station playing '70s music. Just about perfect for cruising around in the Polara.

I just send my dizzys to Ray at @halifaxhops . . .:poke:

I was ready to send to Ray but after a PM he offered to send springs to this do it yourselfer. If I had one to refresh he would be first on my list.
Anyhow I learned some things and It was a success.

Working on my winter hit list. LH vent window regulator was not functioning correctly after I tried to close the window tighter. Found I had cranked it hard enough that the retainer on the back side popped off. Took it out, gathered the parts in the door and put it back together. I didn’t feel like spending $119 on a new one. Also replaced my vent pivot rubber gaskets.

Thanks to @swisherred I got a new glove box hinge. Mine only had one working spring. I probably didn’t even need to paint the parts, but I gave them a quick scuff. Hit them with the heat gun and sprayed them. (Was 55 in the garage). Then a little more heat and they were ready for assembly.
Box hasn’t opened this wide since the ‘70’s.

Replaced shocks with some fancy DA Vikings. The rears went on fine, the slightly used front KYBs that were going to Saylor, met with the cutting wheel.....

The wife’s cat got munched the other day. It did great for being stopped in traffic and being hit from behind at 65-70 mph. Anyways I took the day off and did a bunch of body shop/insurance stuff. The shop sure takes you seriously when you roll in w something interesting. I got a cool pic while at State Farm as they’re up on the second floor. Nice way to make a day doing unfun stuff funner...

We have a great local radiator shop and I had my recored, but I am running a stock 383, no heat problems at all. I have noticed if you have a 440 especially if you are going to modify it, guys have overheat problems with the stock radiator.

I wished I had ceramic coated my exhaust manifolds when I had them out. When I eventually get around to installing my dual exhaust I will definitely do it then.

Last week or so I was able to rebuild my rear end, and rear suspension with new bushings and seals and 3.23 gear change from 2.76. Now just have to replace the brake line I broke while doing it. Cant wait to see what change the gears will have in my driving feel.
