What a Damn Sin ! A Coupe too !

"Not a coupe but still a damn shame"
Ok,A Hardtop .But still a shame some Hillbilly had their way !

Nicer and rarer stuff than that goes that way out here. The durby guys are some of the better buyers as they will pay good money for a c-body. Heck 1/2 the Mopar carcasses I end up having go to those guys. Here in California, property redevelopment, smog laws, repair costs, vehicle registration costs and such is the reason a lot of the cars get scrapped and not sold. Here are a few just from the one guy I deal with on cars.

Problem is...theres an *** for every seat and money talks...

We beat cars up, say they are over priced, parts cars, ETC... the book of excuses is miles long from the FCBO experts.

But then you see cars go to the demos and wonder why? Because no one stepped up to save the car, or at least fully recycle the usable bits.

I've said it several times, and I'll say it again. I prefer to see them go out this way vs rusting into the ground or just being junked.

Seeing those cars go like that makes me angry, disgusted and sad. That said, it's not going to stop until they're all gone. I hate the derby, always have, always will. I don't like to see them get scrapped with no opportunity for usable parts to be removed or see them rust into the ground either, but at least while they're sitting somewhere rusting there's still a slight chance of buying them, even if just for some parts.

It costs a lot of money to restore a Slab with rotted quarters, or a Fusie, etc. I'd love to save every '66 Dodge I have ever seen, but it ain't gonna happen. I have a parts car I need to fetch, and it's too far gone to restore without an endless bank account, so I'm going to sell parts to help others with their cars. I they made quarters, it would be awesome to restore, then I'd have two YY1 cars, a Polara and Monaco, both 500 models.

I wanted to buy this big block Gran Coupe back when it was running and driving in one piece, of course that was back in '17. These pictures are from the Facebook ad from the spring of '22. Oh what a sad fate.
