1970 Plymouth Sport Fury GT in Alpine White

Wow that car is shiny

As @Davea Lux said, that is Billy Furys car. I first seen the car at 2016 Carlisle when they had the c-body celebration, and it truly is a gorgeous car indeed. That car right there is very rare with only a handful being painted that color. I believe it was also a Minnesota dealership promotional car, and is also a survivor. All paint, interior, and I believe engine as well is original. You can't see it but the car has white strobe stripes and a white vinyl top too. It was featured in Mopar Collectors Guide in December 2001.

Car is a beauty, colors look great on it. The white paint and stripe is cool. So glad it survived 50 years like that!

Oh but it does.
Ok tell us why a 440 SUPER COMMANDO pie tin belongs on a 1970 T code 440 standard blue engine with log manifolds?? The dual snorkel air cleaner doesn’t belong there either.

Did the factory put these items on this car when new? I’m willing to learn here.

It’s an awesome car

All 1970 Sport Furies came from the factory with the Super Commando air cleaner callout “pie tin” engine I.D.

The dual snorkel air cleaner is also correct and came with the A52 package.

The obvious exception are the 6BBL Sport Furies.

Billy Fury’s Alpine White GT is, without a doubt, the nicest original 70 Sport Fury GT in existence. His 70 Sport Suburban Wagon is a close second.

Part of the package, never one, thanks!

That’s pretty strange they would label the engine incorrectly

I do not want to get into an argument here, but may I ask how it is incorrect? The "T" code is a 4 barrel 440, and Plymouth called the 4 barrel the Super Commando. 2 barrels did not get "pie tins" and were silenced air cleaners as far as I know. Also there was no such thing as a 2 barrel 440 in a Chrysler product car. All Sport Furies came standard with a 440 4bbl engine, and as Trev said with the 6bbl GT being an exception. Therefore it gets a "pie tin". Lastly everything under the hood of Bill's car is all original equipment except the battery and spark plugs. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm sure that's not correct. The Super Commando was the high performance option on the 440-4bbl ( code E86 with 375hp). The standard engine in the 70 SportFury GT was the 440-4bbl with 350hp (code E85).

In the video at minute 6:41 you see clearly E85 on the fender tag... So it shouldn't say Super Commando on the airfilter as far as I know, but I'm also here to learn, @Fury Pursuit should know it exactly:D
