In preparation for a front end alignment, I'd like to line up where to buy torsion bars in the event they are needed. Anyone have any recommendations on where to buy?
Thanks,
Ron

PST had a pair for my 77 NYB, $495 for the set. I returned them because I wasn’t ready for that update yet. Very heavy and not much room to store them, but will go back when ready..

You know.... The question REALLY needs to be asked... "Why do you think you need new torsion bars?"

If one failed, you would know it... The car would be sitting on the ground...

Parts that might be needed upon inspection/alignment would be ball joints, tie rod ends, and bushings. If an alignment tech said to me "You need new torsion bars", I'd find another shop.

Agree, the idler arm is always suspect. That is the item that I find that needs replacing on all of my Imperials. Hard to find, 6 weeks and almost 3 Benjamins to rebuild.

Yea, forgot to mention idler arm....

When Chrysler 1st road tested cars with torsion bars they used to break believe it or not. They had to go back and make them stronger.Would have been interesting if they had them on the rear like Packards torsion air ride optioned cars. They make the car almost float for some reason.B.B
