You need to get out more. Timken, always first line quality. Chinesium are about as hard as crunchy peanut putter and will last about as long. Timkens will cost about twice as much but properly installed they will last at least 100k.

I have done a lot of bearings for electric motors but they don’t get the stresses of a wheel. Timken it is. Thanks.

Another vote for Timken. Just as an aside, the SKF bearing box usually has a very clear note that their bearings may be supplied from suppliers in many countries. I stopped using them for that reason, and have continued with Timken, despite the fact that they too sometimes have a similar note. Despite this notation, I have had extensive trailer, car, and truck experience with such noted Timkens with absolutely no trouble. My truck bearings as an example have now exceed 85k miles with no difficulty. Best of luck with your efforts. Often times you will need to go to a commercial bearing supply house to get a specific Timken bearing, as parts jobbers tend to carry their own (Chinese) brands.

The only cheap part I ever bought for my Newport was cheap bearings. First long trip, and I had to replace them. 300+ miles from home. Don't buy penut butter bearings. Choosey car guys choose Timken.

Timken! Bought some sino-potmetal National bearings once, but ditched them after a couple months.
