Im very green to this forum so i apologize if I have placed this in the wrong section. Im looking for a steering wheel for my 1979 Cordoba in decent original condition. Mine is in very poor shape at this point. I need the 2 spoke variant in the cream/beige color option. I know its a longshot but let me know If you can help.

There are a number of folks who restore steering wheels as well. Might look into www.steeringwheelbob.com. There are not many used wheels that are in good condition and pretty much none that are show quality.

I will look into that thanks. I will add however that what I need is far from showroom quality. Im just looking for something more passable than what I have. Its condition bothers me.

Picture of the current wheel?
Sure thing.

Common wheel used in Formals with the tilt/tele option.
You did no post in a wrong forum. Many members here recognize the wheel.
I hope you do find one or somebody here can point you in the right direction.
Welcome btw!!

Thanks so much. Excited to have found such a supportive community.

From my observations, what you have is a wheel that's in "normal" condition. The crack and the coming-off of the inset trim (which can hurt!). If you do get yours redone, probably don't worry about putting the trim back in the inset, but some silver or black paint might be better.

As my '80 Newport has a similar wheel, will the Grant Tuff-like wheel work as a replacement?

Enjoy!

Yep.
This style wheel was used on many various models 75 and up.
An uncracked used one is damn near impossible to find.
On rare, RARE, occasions, a NOS one pops up. And it probably won't be the right color.
