1967 fury III with factory AC .
Had a local shop refurbish heater and evap cores. Reinstalled heater box (not that easy). Hooking up 2 lines in engine compartment. Replaced the o-rings.
But the old ones feel more like plastic and are flat instead of round.
Could this just be from age or are they really plastic.
Any feedback is appreciated.
Thx

I am not the expert but I believe there are differences in R12 and 138A o rings because of pressures and possibly oils.

Old ones look and feel like plastic because they're.....old. And molded over time to the square shape you mentioned.

All you need to know (well, not really "all") is that you'll be using green, round, o-rings. They go with any refrigerant/oils.

Or from ANY AdvancedOreillyZoNapa store across the nation for just a few bucks.

Here is the Santech A/C System O-Ring Gasket Kit MT2551 that I am ordering for Medina, my '71 Monaco. Price is $6.29.
