I am guessing that chop weakens the unibody?

Mopar verts have lots of extra metal inside the rockers to stiffen the body. That keeps the center of the car from sagging since there is no metal roof tp hold things in place. A chop job such as this one does not last long before the doors do not close etc.

i ended up with a por15 / fiberglass / duraliner roof

prob stronger than the rest of the car tbh..

there was one on here a while back that had metal tubing and a blue tarp for a top. same car?

Yea that San Diego chopped car was such a eyesore on the neighborhood street that someone backed into the drivers door to give the guy a hint. (or maybe someone torched it)
Just glad I haven't seen it on CL in a while.... (holds breath)

Maybe the Cali DMV impounded it as 'Un-Roadworthy'!
