Still liked this show better when it was Auction Weekend since I only make it to Arizona once a year.

The inconsistency with this show has prevented it from becoming a really big show. It was starting to grow when it was at Bill Luke and on auction weekend but after a couple of years it was moved, the date changed and one or two years the club didn't even put it on. This killed all the momentum it had. When it was held during the auctions it drew a huge crowd of out of towners and even foreign visitors. It still is a good show but I can't help but think it could've been made in to a show that could rival Spring Fling if it was done right.

Take it from the 2006 long-distance award winner, Chris' comments are dead-on. I've actually gone to a couple club events and I call Dave Hendricksen a friend... I really wish the best for this club because I want it to be around when I "make the move".

The western 300 club used to host winter meets in Mesa in conjunction with the B.J. Auction. Last time Gail and I flew in for that meet, AIR FORCE ONE with G.W. Bush on board could be seen out our Port windows descending at the same time that we were. Friends of ours had driven out from Topeka and we'd planed on them picking us up and getting us to the motel in Mesa. If anyone on this haz had the misfortune to be in any Airport in this country when THAT PLANE comes in you have my sympathies. What ah zoo, Jer
