Again....

I would love to have this car but, not at that price. For <10k I can buy a decent formal and put my own 4 speed in it. Actually if I could find a fair 2 door (I'm not a super clean/super nice example of the car kind of guy) at a cheap price and swap a Tremec 5 spd in it.
$2500- formal 2 door in fair shape
$4000 complete 5 speed swap kit for a B body
$2000- headers, homemade dual exhaust, misc pieces and pedal assembly.
I'm still beating the 10 k and, I know every inch of the car.
Use the other $1500 for a scoop, wheels and tires. :poke:
:bs_flag::bs_flag::bs_flag:

Allow me to correct this...

$2500- formal 2 door in fair shape Nope, more like $1500, maybe $1200... we've been trying to get you into a Formal for long enough to know you never intend to pay the standard price :D
$4000 complete 5 speed swap kit for a B body Pure BS, if you wanted to spend for a transmission, it would go into Nate's Charger or maybe the race car, Digging through the swap meets and junk piles to find something usable/rebuildable... budget closer to $400...cheap skate (and my hero).:poke:
$2000- headers, homemade dual exhaust, misc pieces and pedal assembly. OK, this is probably accurate $... mostly due to "misc pieces". I see used headers and soup cans welded to the exhaust of your budget Formal... tell me that's never happened before.:D
I'm still beating the 10 k and, I know every inch of the car.
Use the other $1500 for a scoop, wheels and tires.I'm picturing $500 for a set of used wheels and 8 year old tires... and maybe a couple of old Post Gazette mailboxes on the hood.

Your not wrong. I just don't have time for another project, so buying a formal has kind of dropped off the stove (more than back burner). Buying a "finished car" well, really just not my style and, the money could be used toward fixing some annoying things on a black Peterbilt.
Transmission correction is probably true, and the trans out of the Charger would go in the formal, perfect behind a cast crank, cruiser style car long distance car I have in my mind's eye, also kills two birds with one stone.
The headers and hood scoops were just put in to stir the pot.
Wheels and tires, are you kidding me. Black, round, hold air.

seen....needs...….

Sorry, kids, scoops look like unwiped *** on a C-body. That molded-in Challenger power bulge is probably the lone exception. THAT is well-executed and beautiful in Turbine Bronze.

I love the rhetorical questions that only Stan can answer, but no one who does these write-ups bothers to do a simple search and find all the commentary on FCBO.

I also think the skirts need to go back on.

Everytime I start to write the whole story including The Five W's, my ADD/OCD/Aspie mind can't get past 3 sentences. If somebody wants to be my ghost writer...

So it’s never been documented? Start a thread. We will ask the questions and then you can answer until we hear the whole story. Piece O Cake.

I thought it was once. Maybe not here, but I remember seeing the build of the car, at least the transmission conversion anyway.
