1967 Polara convertible found in a chicken couple up here in Maine. I'm a newish member since buying my '72 Newport but check in every day and based on the prices and discussion that follows, I'd say it's a bit overpriced even with a price reduction ($3,800 to $2,300).

Really enjoy the people and info on this site. I'll be doing a big post on my car and interested in people's thoughts on what to do next and how to do it. Thank you!

This car shows considerable lower body rust and has a very trashed interior that looks like it was exposed to outside elements for a considerable time. A detailed inspection of the underside and frame is warranted before any offer is made. Would also want to know if the engine will still turn over. 383-2BBL low optioned vert that appears to need everything. More likely to wind up as a parts donor. As a donor, it is worth between $750-$1.5k depending on results of an inspection.

I can't imagine that chickenshit is kind to sheet metal....or anything for that matter, other than to soil for amendment.

Also is missing radiator cap which likely means the cooling system is packed with rodent debris.

judging by the surface rust on the interior parts, it looks like it's been damp for a long time. expect electrical issues.

That car is toast. I wouldn't even bother. May be some useful parts for someone, but inside a chicken coupe? Forget it.

Hey, you guys are over looking the four unbroken headlights and it what appears to be a factory installed dipstick ; )

That will more than compensate for the odor of chicken ****, can smell it all the way to Oregon.

Put it back in the chicken coop. Davea Lux, is that what I'm smelling down in Rogue River?

My brother just picked up a 67 Monaco Convertible for $1250 cdn.
It needs a bunch of work but better than this as a starter to a project.

MattfromMaine --- looking forward to seeing your "72 Newp.

And assuming this '67 monaco is NOT yours? if it is, my comments aren't intended to be harsh -- just judging it by what i can see.

any car -- almost -- with enough time and money could be brought back. you've come to place where folks love these cars of course, but perhaps most of us would reflect the clear trend in this thread

This one is probably better suited to provide parts to more saveable cars. wouldnt be remotely worth the investment just to get it driveable, let alone into driver condition or better.

I'm with Davea lux in post #2 as to range of values as a complete car, but toward the lower end/lower of his range. As "unobtainium" parts, if any, perhaps more toward the upper end cumulatively for everything.

amazinblue82 - Definitely not mine. I attempted to add the Facebook marketplace link above my original post but I'm seeing it didn't take. I'll attempt again.

Having looked at pretty much every car put up on this site, I knew what the reaction was going to be. It looked like a basket case with a solid project car price. I wish I had found this site before owning my Newport. Not because I regret buying it (was everything I was looking for minus the 440 and was 25 mins from my house) but because of the concentration of c-body listings to learn from and determine a fair market price and common issues to look for.

I lucked out with my '72 but it does need work. It's currently undergoing a complete brake system rebuild, front end rebuild, and tune-up while snow is on the ground. Hoping to figure out what to use for replacement sub-frame bushings (I've read and re-read every thread on this site on the subject) before mud season is over up here.

In conclusion...... At least it didn't spend the last 2-3 decades in a chicken coop
