1969 Fury 3 Vrs 1970 Sport Fury Wheelwell & Rocker Panel Moldings - 2 Door

The '69 wheel well trim should screw on no problem, but the cross section of the molding is slightly different. The '69 trim is a bit thicker than '70-'71. You can install any rocker trim you want as long as you can find the correct clips, and you may have to drill some new holes.

No, slightly different, until you get about 20 feet away, then they look about the same. If you can get the '69 stuff at a good price, I'd consider it, unless you are doing a real nice restoration. It's better than nothing, and it could take years to find the '70 parts. They are very hard to come by.

Does it look 100 percent the same visually?

No, the contour of the face (area that fits flush against the body) is different than the '70-'71 Fury wheel opening Moldings and the rockers are totally different.

One exception on the wheel opening moldings is that the '70-'71 Fury Custom Suburban Station Wagons used the '69 style wheel opening moldings. Apparently the Chrysler bean counters must have decided that that it was not worth it to re-tool the wagon rear wheel opening moldings.

One more point not yet noted, a 69 Fury III would not have rocker panel mouldings, Atleast not from the factory as they were only used on the sport fury in 69.

However I could be corrected on this, but at this point I have had a 69 Sport Fury, 4 69 Fury III's and a 69 VIP, only the Sport Fury has the rocker mouldings.

they are hen's teeth for sure, I searched for 15yrs and have only found 1 pair that were really nasty, they cleaned up so so. Then this fall another set was supposedly for sale here on a car being parted out but were sold out from under me (tho not by the guy who posted them here, his partner).

I though of using the '72 Fury Gran Coupe rocker moldings but I have only been able to find one side NOS.
