I saw the same question today on Facebook; was/is that you?

My (late) Uncle used Vintage Air on his '65 Mustang. He really liked it, especially in the humidity of North Carolina where he lived.

As my project continues ("65 Sport Fury), there will be a/c and cruise control added. This thing will be driven a lot. At this time I'm installing a Tremec TKO. I have some quotes for the a/c and I've added some pictures from one of the quotes. I asked for the highest output unit they had - I don't know if that meant anything to them or not. You can use the info from the pictures to contact them.
My quote was for a Gen IV Magnum Heat/Cool w/def. I'm going to try to use a '65 fury factory a/c - heat control panel.
At this time it looks like this is the route I'm going in. It could change because before I place an order, I'll be checking around again to see if there's anything better. Do some checking around to see if it's right for you.
My quote was just shy of $1350, but I have quotes for over $300 more. I think all our cars need a/c, they are driven mostly when it's hot out and the defrosters are so much better with a/c.
Hope this helps!! Good luck!! And let us know how you make out.
Maybe you'll come across something better.

Here's a video that shows a gen IV unit being installed in a Chevy truck. I like the electronic servos for the doors.

I converted a 1963 Buick Riviera with factory air to a Vintage Air heat/defrost/ac system about 10 years ago. It's a big job but not that hard and worked well. You may want to add a factory air dash if possible, the vent layout will be more effective than the VA add-ons. One thing to remember, these systems are recirculate only, they do not use outside air like factory systems.

I didn't know about the recirculating only system.
When I first read your response I started typing about how I wouldn't like the recirculating only kits. Then I realized our cars have awesome vents in the kick panels so I erased it!!
I'm glad you mentioned that!!
When it comes to the dash vents I think I'm going with vents from a much newer car. I know the vents aren't going to be hanging off the bottom of the dash!! I'm not sure what that will be yet - one thing at a time. It'll probably be May until I have to get serious about the a/c.
That'll be part of the thread I have going on restoring the car.
