I found a set of Fury 3 moulding but I'm having a helluva time trying to find the correct retainer for body mouldings on my 71. The #s I was able to pull from the originals that were shipped to me ( my car came naked with no mouldings or clips) was 4548 but I cant find them anywhere . I'm not even sure if what I have is a complete retainer.

Also while I have your ear I know there was an insert on the moulding is there a sorce for replacement or should I just buy some pinstripe tape and lay it in there?

Thanks in advance

Some of the Fury '71 side moldings had the retainers held in place by studs that were spot welded to the body. As far as I know that type of retainer is not reproduced. If the studs that held the moldings have been ground off you would not be able to use them anyway. If the car has clean sides, I would probably leave it that way.

Nah it has the pins installed . I kinda wish they were in fact ground off . The fury 2 moulding dont fit too bad though they stick out about 1/8 inch at the headlight bezel ( doesn't make sense to me). But I'm missing passenger side quarter panel moulding. When I found the fury 3 moulding I had to jump on them

Check these guys out: Moulding Clips & Retainers

I bought a bag of their universal moulding clips just a couple weeks ago for the upper rear 1/4 panel chrome moulding on Mathilda. I was LUCKY enough to see them at Ace Hardware, in their automotive section. Nice to be able to measure the clips in the store!

They have a good variety of universal clips and fasteners. I think you can find something that will do for you.
