Fender Tag Decoding

Thanks for the reply, under PNT it says RR1, under UBS is a 3. S6X interior. The decoder never showed anything under many of the codes. If you know a good fender tag decoder please send me the link. Thanks again for your help.

RR1= Burgundy metallic (a color I have come to love)
S/3 = white side stripe, which is the recommended set up for RR1/S6X.

Where did you come up with the code for a blue interior? There should be nothing under the U in UBS.

There are no good online decoders. Each has it's limitations and cannot be all things to all people. The best, quickest and most complete decoder is posting a picture and letting someone decode it.

That says it all right there. All of them have a number of errors, and some aren't worth the time to Bing.

Years ago, when I was primarily an "A"-body guy, I ran across a car a guy had. A 1967 dart GT hardtop. with a 225 automatic, red body, white painted top and a BLUE bucket seat interior...and it was all on both the fender tag and the broadcast sheet.

Would anyone mind decoding this tag for me? It's a 1968 Fury I - Ex Texas DPS...Grabbing it this weekend for restoration - once I finally get finished with my 72 Polara Ex DPS project.

I greatly appreciate it! Would the production date have been December of 1967 or 1968?

1967.

The 1968 production year ran from Aug 67 to July 68.

At that time, model years came out in the previous calendar year. ('68's came out in '67)

On your '71 Sport Fury, the Fender Tag should be at the right side of the radiator support in front of the battery
