Time has come to thin my fleet. I have owned this car for 19 years and have never found the time to do anything with it. I am the third owner of this car. The first two owners lived in Orlando Florida and kept the car under a carport. I had it shipped to Connecticut in early 2001 and it was kept in a garage during its life in Connecticut and since I moved to Lincolnton, NC (just north of Charlotte) in October of 2019 this car has been sitting on my trailer with a car cover on it.

This car has 51,338 miles on it. This is the correct mileage. Look at the photos of the pedals and the front carpet underneath the carpeted floor mats. I have a clear Florida title and a bill of sale from the folks that I bought this car from.

You would be hard pressed to find a car with a cleaner undercarriage. No frame rot/rust issues, solid, original lower quarters, trunk floor extensions and trunk floor. The car was repainted once a long time ago and the paint faded in the Florida sun.

There are some rust issues around the back window and just below the lower C pillar vinyl top moldings. The vinyl top needs a good cleaning and I only saw once small rust bubble under the vinyl top on the passenger C pillar.

The car was hit on the left rear while parked. I have a section of quarter panel from a parts car that could be grafted in if you don't want to straighten it.

I have the molding that is off the left front fender. If whoever buys this car treats me nice I can help with parts for this car as well as questions.

The body has a few dings but other than the accident damage is very straight.

Because the car has been sitting it will only run off a gas can at this time. The gas tank needs to be drained and cleaned and the fuel line should be cleaned as well.

The master cylinder has gone south while this car has been sitting and the right front brake wheel cylinder was leaking when I got the car so the brakes will need some attention. The parking brake works just fine.

The driver's door window is currently held up with a piece of wood wedged in between the window and the door. The window wants to drop into the door. Most likely one of the plastic clips broke.

This is a power drum brake car with the optional 15" wheels. The car has a/c, power windows, a rear radio speaker with the fader switch and the rare deluxe (optional) steering wheel.

The driver's seat area needs some work as the stitching has dry rotted over the years.

I think that photos speak for themselves.

Questions are welcome. I am posting a lot of photos and have some some additional photos. Since I am not allowed to post a phone number or email you must PM me. If my in box gets full you can always contact me through eBay, user FURYGT.

Hi Bill,

Hope all is well and going good with you guys down there. Pretty damn good lookin' station wagon in the driveway there :). Sorry to see the VIP go. A 318 with A/C has gotta be a bit rare no? Best of luck with the sale.

Thanks! VIP 2 doors are pretty rare and I have never seen photos of or heard of one in bright red.

The 68 Fury fastop is my favorite after the 70. I looked at a couple before I found my 70. Solid car and worth every penny. GLWS.

Windsor Ontario Canada built car.
The majority of Canuckian VIP's were 318 and had power windows as part of the VIP package.
I know I shoulda kept my VIP for parts....but she's been gone 20 years now..

Here's another 68 318 VIP way up northern Ontario but from Florida ..

This car is A DEAL!!
Sorry you need to let this one go, Bill.
Also, the display of pictures detailing everything made the ad one of best ones I have ever seen.

I am not trying to push you, and it is totally up to you but you went to Volo, you went to Delaware, and you went to Carlisle. Bill is a great guy, he will take care of you with the car. As Bill said make a weekend out of it.
