Cooper Trendsetter tires @ NTB clearance priced

Hope they are not being Discontinued by Cooper.

National Tire & Battery. $72.99 per tire picked up @ store. I ordered them now so I'll have them in the spring when I take the car out of winter storage . I have been looking and see stock levels were getting low. I wanted whitewalls which are getting harder to find in 15". Will take them back to be mounted when I get the car out of storage.

Who? NTB or webcrawler. I got four from webcrawler a couple of months ago and just recently got a 5th to use as my spare.
The NTB site is good, when I put the tire size and brandname is when it said the tires no longer available. I could use a spare set, I’ll give them a call and see what’s what.

I've had Coopers and I've had Hankooks.
I found the Hankook much better.

A little late to the party but I was shopping tires for my 77 T&C. Is 235 the right width? The old HR78 is translating to 225.

BTW Summit appears to have the cooper trendsetter at 79.99

The T&C got the LR78-15...equates to the 235 75 15.

My 67 Convertible was shipped with 8:55 X 14's. The 235 75 15 is the exact same diameter, just a bit wider I think. I checked my speedo against mile markers in a 10 mile stretch of highway mile posts and it's dead on at every post.

Our Quietest Tires of All Time - Tire Reviews and More

The Hankook is considered a very quite riding tire. Here is the review.
Hankook Optimo H727 Tire Review & Rating - Tire Reviews and More

Here is part of the Hankook review.
Hankook makes the list with its Optimo H727. With excellent touring all-season traction, this is also a tire that provides a very quiet ride quality. The tread design features the latest in tire technology with its Carbon Compounding and Footprint Shape Optimization. Along with tapered lateral slots, the result is a tread that is engineered to eliminate the distracting road noise.
Designed for sedans, minivans, and coupes, the Hankook Optimo H727 is a tire that offers great handling and crisp steering responsiveness. This is an inexpensive tire which offers great value for money whilst being one of the quietest tires available in the market.

Here is the Cooper review
Cooper Trendsetter SE Tire Review & Rating - Tire Reviews and More

For drivers needing a basic all-season tire, the Trendsetter SE from Cooper is a budget-friendly option. Developed for drivers of older model coupes, sedans and minivans, the Trendsetter fills the need for those requiring a 70-75 series tire.
The all-season dual layer tread compound and asymmetric tread pattern provide enhanced traction and handling on dry road surfaces. The dual layer also increases durability and provides a lower rolling resistance, which results in increased fuel mileage.
Squared tread elements add more grip and bite on wet or snow covered roads. It increases hydroplane resistance and enhances traction in the snow, slush or ice.
Cooper uses a computer designed variable pitch tread sequence to reduce road noise and create a better overall ride comfort that makes driving more enjoyable at highway speeds. Whitewalls are available in selected sizes, and Cooper includes a 40,000 mile treadlife guarantee on this model.

I just email this website to compare 235/75 R15 WW tires. If I get a reply from them I will post it.

Both good quality tires with the hankook having a slight advantage in tread mileage. Same warrantee. I prefer the Coopers for the simple fact that they come much closer to the sidewall appearance of the original equipment tires for our cars. The Hankooks have a "busy" sidewall design, plus having the name "Nankook" on my tires would give it the "made in China" stigma.
How important is a 40K mileage guarantee on a hobby car anyways? Even if driven 2/3K miles a year the tire will "age" out before it wears out.
