Can anyone recommend somebody to do an inspection on a car for me ? looked online in the general area, Tulsa Oklahoma, but nothing came up bar the nationwide types.

I have my own car for sale at the moment with a buyer due to take her on Thursday this week, so if that goes through will be trying to purchase a 67/68 Imperial as a replacement.

Being from the UK, buying something from the USA can be difficult as the sellers think its a scam when you contact them( private sales) and now this virus business has made flying to USA a no go. It works in reverse too as I don't know if the car really exists or belongs to the seller, unless buying from a dealer.

Anyhoo, if anyone knows a reliable inspector for that area let me know please

:thankyou:

Look online for any car clubs. Perhaps they have competent members or can refer you to inspectors or repair shops that he can take the car there. Any of these options including a member of our site should be compensated. Be specific of problem areas, pictures written report etc. Doing on phone with inspector should give you and idea of level of competence.

Already selling the Caddy?

Thanks Pete !

Yes Matt the Caddy is up for sale ! Change of circumstances.

Have been in convo with a buyer for 3/4 days providing him with pics and videos etc of her. He wanted to give me a deposit, but I'm the kind of person who trusts and keeps his word so he gets first refusal at our agreed upfront price. He's 500 miles away so flying here to do the deal unless he comes with a trailer to take her home same day.

The selling process has been full of idiots with questions such as, is it a petrol or diesel engine ? and so forth.

Hard to be polite at times

Hope everyone is going to be ok with this Virus business ! Here is not too bad, but the idiots are panic buying in supermarkets.
How much dried pasta and toilet rolls would you need for 14 days indoors?
:wtf:

coco, describe *the* '67 / '68 Imperial for you...
What is it you are looking for..
There have been several listed in the last year but you didn't jump on any of them...
I remember you posted something similar a while back but would like to be reminded...
:poke:

@patrick66 helped me out a couple of years ago. He recommended someone in PA and the advice I received was spot on. Tons of info and photos to back up the inspector's opinion.

I believe that he is local to the area where you need help.

There's a really nice black '68 LeBaron for sale in Oklahoma.

Thanks for all the replies !

Xenon, yes was after one and then bought a Cadillac last year, thread listed in Imperial only section with pics etc.

I tried to buy an Imperial and failed, but got this instead!

It's for sale at the moment and buyer lined up for Thursday if this virus business does not stop the sale( travel plans, and everything else here changes every 12 hrs or so ). My criteria has changed a little, can now do coupes and hardtops, but no sedans. No green cars inside or out and must be excellent condition inside and out. I'd consider a 67 New Yorker too if the right car came up. This is all dependant on sale of the 62 I have as don't have room for 3 cars.

Not asking for much I know, but still hopeful.
