I got this 3 speed wiper motor in a goody box of parts. part number 2889976. References I checked say 67/68 C body, but the bulkhead connector on my 67 Polara is different. mine is a black , inline connector.
Any guesses?

‘68 B-body.

‘68 B-body.
No it is not a B body with that connector. It would have the black rectangle connector.
The part number is not in Galens white book.
It is made 310th day of 1967

I said ‘68 B-body because I thought I remembered having to find one for my Road Runner with that number. I’ve been wrong before...:p

It’s C-body as confirmed in the ‘68 parts book.

Thanks Matt. I thought I was wrong once.... but I was mistaken....

Everything I've found points to C body. 67/68. The different bulkhead connector is a mystery though. I'll probably keep it for a spare, maybe be able to swap connectors if needed.

Both my ‘67 Imps don’t have a connector in between the motor and bulkhead.

Mine connects directly to the bulkhead. This motor has a lead long enough to reach the bulkhead so I am assuming it plugs directly to it also.
Does someone with a 68 C have a picture of the connector on their car?

Thats from a 67 A-body but the connector is from a 69-72 C-body or a
70-74 E-body
It could be but I did find it in the ‘68 parts book referring to its use in the C-bodies.

The number stamped into the motor seems to cross over to several years and model cars. I would have thought the connector being different would change the part number. I still haven't exactly verified the application I don't think it's earlier then 1969.

The wiper motor may have a part number of a certain "make" but obviously it is a remanufactured core.
The pigtail is of 70 up E and 71 up B body.
The lower portiion of the motor and its windings are the same across the board.
So the parts jobber got it as a Cardone or Dorman reman--just as an example

From ‘68 parts book.
