So, even bodies of Imperial and Chrysler looks same. Does -69 Imperial front stub bolt on to -69 Chrysler, like Newport Conv? Or is there is different bolt/mount locations of stubs and body?

See my PM. As for body dimensions, you can probably find the "body shop frame machine" diagonal dimensions in the FSM. What a body shop frame machine tech might use to put a bent body/stub frame back "to specs".

The Imperial frame is in fact a D body and is longer than the C body frames. Are you looking for a replacement frame for your car?

...won’t work...

In addition, Imps have a “K” member cradle for engine isolation...

It bolts in the rear frame. The firewall frame mounts have to be moved back a few inches.
The front wheels won't be in the center of the fender. They will be forward a few inches.
It can be done, but it's a demo derby trick to reuse a imperial sub in a c body.
Won't work for restoration.

Crazy idea on making 1 of none -69 Imperial convertible. Newport conv and bolt Imperial front stub to it. Also swap rear bumper, tail lights, interior... etc

MM Imperial has all different sheet metal body too in that case, it wont look right at all. It would be easier to take the convertible components from a fuselage car and convert an Imperial coupe.

I instantly figured out what you were looking to do, because I've toyed with the same idea. That should work. I believe there are some minor differences at the bumper/trunk area. (internal bracing, not cosmetic/exterior)

I have a perfect parts car for this, good only knows if I'll ever get to it.

You are one of at least 3 people I know of wanting to do the same. The Imperial subframe will bolt up to a Newport/300 convertible body but you will have to remove the body tub extenders from the Imperial and weld them to the body tub of the convertible. The Imperial front clip will bolt on. Imperial front doors will also fit but you have to use the convertible vent windows. Trunk lid and rear bumper assembly will also bolt in/on. Rear bumper must come from an Imperial Coupe, the 4 door is different.

In case you missed this thread.
1969 Imperial Convertible

Another wealth of info
1969 - 1971 C body Stub Frame (subframe)

This might be the fate of my blue 69 as it was sold thru several auctions in state, without transferring the title, then lost. I have the original owners name in California, but haven't checked on if it's in Californias system.
