After a long winter and now the health crisis I was getting a little down. Broke out the GT today and used that to get groceries. How much better I felt after that drive. Plus I got to see how a C Body fit in the garage at new home.

Wow! That is just a stunning beauty and yes, you are completely right. Both working on the car and taking it for a spin can be very therapeutical and on a good day reset your mindset 180°.

Amen brother.. driving these old girls is certainly a therapy session. And one that I’m happy to attend as often as possible. After all! the seats I kind of like sitting on the couch anyway. Lol

I agree. I'm ready for some C body 'top down" therapy. Low 70's today and mid 70's tomorrow.
It's been an incredibly sad, painful, and rough winter.

I’ve been driving my silver Imp for a week now and life is better.:steering:

The Monaco is hard to drive right now with no seats in it Matt.
So......my car therapy is.....
Seats out getting redone.
Radio sent to G. Tayman.
Carpet on order from SMS.
(all 3 are busier than heck)
Figure it’ll all come together just as the garage warms up in April.

With the market crash, wiped out investments, and economic uncertainty, life outside the garage sucks.
Life in the garage is a necessary and positive attitude adjustment.

Yup, pulled my T&C out for the first time this year so that I could swap the snow tires out on the daily drivers. Just hearing that 440 idle again made me feel good.

Ditto for me - yesterday evening I finally got the garage ready at our new home where the T&C is to go, and so I went and brought her home from storage.

It's like it was last driven a couple of days ago - she fired right up - the heat blows hot, the AC blows ice cold, it steers, goes into gear nicely, shifts great, brakes work great, autopilot and sentinel all worked, clock had only lost 4 minutes, radio was good.

The only thing I noticed towards the end of the drive was some pulsating from the dash lights and amp gauge - probably just the regulator wanting to top up the battery...

All in all a very pleasant and therapeutic 15 mile drive home!!

Anxious to get my cars out. In the meantime I have a room full or trim waiting to get polished and then instslled on Maggie's 69 F3.
To the basement I go.........

Great comments! I saved many of them to a .doc file.

Thanks,

Don't think I have seen a Fury with that GT lettering on the side - WAY cool - looks great in that blue as well.

I love that 71 John!

I've been using my 69 Polara Wagon as a daily for the past month or so, it definitely helps ease the mind during this time of uncertainty. Also the fuel prices are nice!

Given where you live not sure on the roads but if you have the time and resources get out for short day trips. Fill your cooler with food and drinks and hit the road. Amazing what you may find driving some of the back roads.
