Any idea what carb this is?

Sir Patrick Your linkage is hooked up wrong, the return spring bracket is twisted around, return spring is too short, and you’re missing the spring on the throttle pressure linkage.

hwyycrzr Your green return spring is in the wrong place, it too low to pull. It should be connected up where the throttle cable is. That’s probably why there is another spring added on, so it will return the throttle.

Is this correct so far?

Not sure where to find the 2 proper springs for this application.

Can probably find one here.
Mopar 1968 383 440 Big Block Throttle Return Spring

Your spring you have on the throttle looks to be in the right location but looks a little stretched.

You are also missing the kick down spring. This will really mess with your shifting and will not allow the transmission to shift properly. Do not run without.
Note the kick down spring is also used as a retainer for the linkage at the rear.

In the parts manual the they do have springs listed with different colors and coil counts, difficult to decipher. There are 8 choices for C Body.
My throttle one is blue/green with orange stripe (49 coils) and kick down is red with a small black stripe / dab of paint (75 coils).

@413, I am not convinced my return spring is backwards. The bends at the end don’t match your suggestion that it is backwards . It would be like putting a square peg in a round hole.
one end is bent with a nice radius to fit the throttle linkage where the bend on the other end is bent more square to engage the flat bracket.

Thx man!
Just gave Murry Park a call, and got all hooked up, they are on the way!

@HWYCRZR That end was rebent, it’s not factory. Usually because the end breaks off.

The long end with no coils goes to the carb, the other end with coils close to the end goes to the bracket. Both bends should be similar.

Look at the new spring in your link, see how long the one straight part is? See how the bends look?

Did he have both springs for you?

I probably need to give him a call as well.
I now understand why I may have had two springs. If the one end broke off and was re-bent maybe Dad or Mom thought it was too strong. When lowered in the other position it may have been less force and would not return, so another light spring was added.

Yes, he had both. Said there might be 3...but had to check. He even hooked me up with the cable retainer to the carburetor I am missing.

Nuttin this time, Marty. Not to say I don't have one or two but I can't locate any right now. Sorry to get your hopes up.

Thanks for checking. It works fine now. If Mopar’s in the Park is still on I may grab one there.

Those are casting numbers and don’t mean anything to getting a rebuild kit.

The hose with arrow, is that to the PCV? If so you need to redo your vacuum lines. You have that to the Power brake booster also, so with the PCV in the same hose you have a built in vacuum leak in the power brake vacuum.

Not a good idea. They should be separate hoses. Look at @HWYCRZR photo below

the PB vacuum hose comes off the back of the intake manifold. If no hose connector there then there will be a plug screwed into the hole for the hose fitting.

Looks like the vaccuum from the intake that goes to the booster has a small vaccuum that goes through the firewall for something....video-

Good videos. Where that hose comes out of the intake there should be a 5/16” filling for the brake booster hose. Then coming out of one side of that should be a small fitting for that small hose that goes into the firewall to run the heater controls.

Think that's what the small hose off the booster, that's blocked off, is probly for?

Oh, by the way-

I sure do appreciate your guys time and help here....very cool guys.
