From the CDC

They delayed it down here because they know how nutty the fisherman can be!

While the covid virus is a threat to some, it doesn't seem as deadly as the common influenza, which killed 80,000 people in the USA just a couple of years ago 80,000 people died of the flu last winter in US.
The media-driven hysteria serves a purpose for governments, they will continue to spread fear while taking away any 'freedom' you think you have, it's all a big hoax based on another strain of the flu which has killed hundreds of thousands around the world every year for decades, without any of these big brother rules being put in place. Scared people are willing to go along with anything. Pathetic.

Can't hit the agree and disagree button at the same time so. Yes the media is pushing the hysteria. No it's not the same as the flu, does not spead the same and the novel means it is new and not seen before. That's where the problem lies. No human on the planet has ever been exposed to this virus before, so a 80 year old and a 80 day old infant have the same vulnerably to it. It attacks the lungs/lower respiratory system causing fluid as the white blood cells fight the infection causing pneumonia and you basically drown or die of complications from low oxygenated blood. That's when you health shortcomings kill you. Not saying your wrong, but it can get the upper hand on seemingly healthy people. If your lucky your body reacts fast and it never escalates to pneumonia then it is just a bad cold/flu like illness. A friend of mines co worker has it at it's worst he had a fever for about 3 days then it broke and he is on the mends.
If they don't put the fear in most of these sheep they will all just walk right off the cliff.

I wonder what the tracking time difference is between the two? Is The flue tallies 12 months of data vs Coviid-19? Which since the first death in the US in March( or did Washington start in February). Anyway only 2-3 months of Covid stats and still growing vs 12 months of flue stats. A better comparison would be flu deaths by month in the US Vs. Covid by month. Will be hard to measure the real difference until we have 12 months of data or it peaks and starts declining.
If anyone has these stats. Please share. As said above it is the contagion rate and ease that is concerning.

Give it time, we will see how all this plays out, however, we're already seeing recommendations coming from governments to introduce coronavirus 'immunity certificates', meaning mass mandatory vaccinations or you will not be allowed to 're-enter society'. Nothing like scare-mongering to introduce whatever measures they please.
The number of deaths is also being manipulated, anyone who perishes and who has the virus in their system is accounted as having died of covid19, when in reality, death may have been caused by any number of pre-existing conditions. 'Recording cases where there was a positive test for the virus is a very different thing to recording the virus as the main cause of death', that is a direct quote made by medical professional.
Interesting to note that in the current flu season in the US (since last September), 38 Million have been infected, 390,000 have been hospitalised and 23,000 have died. Don't see anyone panicking over these figures though...

Lot of misinformation out there indeed. Some scare easy some not as easy. Hope I make it to see how it pans out, about the best I can come up with.

I'll put these out there just to speculate, chew the fat, food for thought. Not meant to alarm anyone, and these are based on no facts or data.
Do you think the virus can live longer than they are saying, especially if it has genetic material to live in like spit, snot, puss, or poop?
Has it been here since before the claimed Jan Washington case?

Take each day as it comes and see what happens.

I heard some talking head on TV say the airborne virus can travel 27 feet in a slight breeze.

I noticed my health change 4 years ago, went to the doctor for a regular checkup and she asked how my health was and I told her I was sneezing and blowing my nose more often than I ever had in my life. She brushed it off as allergies, you know that time of year. I thought it was from all the increased traffic pollution from the new sprawl buildup. In the fall of 2018 I seem to get colds over and over again like 4 or 5 times during the season, runny nose minor hack/cough that would last 5 days to a week. Especially after going out in public. Same this past fall but seems more intense.
About a week or so before this virus BS got real intense I went to Walmart early in the morning about 7am. Now I had been up for about 2 1/2 hours feeling just fine but when I entered the store where they now corral you through these I guess anti-theft gates, right after passing through there I had to sneeze 4/5 times. I didn't even cover my nose it was that intense and rapid, clerks were giving me the evil eye and if anyone said anything to me I was going to reply back 'I was just fine until I walked into this germ box'. :icon_fU:

Another talking head doctor on TV said that it can spread just by speaking as it will travel in your breath from speaking, even had a scientific video of it. I should of been more vocal as I waited in line a week ago at the Dollar Tree as some yapping jackwagon that was I take it having some cabin fever was chatting up the cashier not in the dating sense but just telling his life story sense. I was gonna say enough of the fek'in chit chat move along.

One thing that's right at the Dollar Tree last time I was there was that they had a masked/gloved cashier at every cash register to keep the line & wait to a minimum.
I hope that carry's on after the pandemic has passed. But I see on the 'net that WalMart is now restricting the number of customers in the store and doing some more one-way corralling to keep people from having to dodge(?) each other. I don't know if that is happening here, but I'll soon find out. It would be best if they keep all the WalMart personal shoppers & stock people off the floor too as they have been a PITA 4'eve'ah, (tired of dodging them and getting glares & backtalk).
Stocker: "Oh am I in your way?"... Then Stocker: "Your in my way".
Me: "Keep it up with that 'Proper' customer attitude and you'll end up in the Hospital".
Stocker: "Yea, why's that?"
Me: "To remove my boot out'ta your ***!"

Even a lot of the outside vendor's like FritoLay, etc. give you a dirty look when they are stocking, you can tell they a ex-cons, 'bout the only job they can get, I give them the "Mate I got Parole on speed dial, you wanna have a go?" look. :icon_fU::icon_fU:

:soapbox:

Young & Old they are dropping like flies around here in Volusia County.
