Iggy and old red are here, but only have the black imperial at the shop for now. Both cars will get detailed next weekend, which is an extensive process here. Put the black car up on the lift to see how things were underneath. When I buy a car that is to be a chase car or a frequent driver, we go ahead and plan on replacing a lot. Rebuilt the entire front end, go through the brakes, check fuel system, depending on car look at intake/carb combo. Make sure all gauges and windows work properly. It's like a massive health check up. Both cars will go through this. Not sure who goes in first for the revival. We'll order everything in double so when the 2nd car comes through, it goes quick. Here are some quick shots.

You gotta admit that's a pretty interesting piece of shop equipment.

Are you able to open the driver's door while it's in the air? Hard to judge the distance between door and mechanism.

Didn't look to be honest, just wanted to get underneath it. I use this lift around my garage to do basic stuff. It's mobile so gives me a lot of flexibility. When something goes in for real work, it goes to my Dads shop as it might be on a lift for 1-2 weeks. If I needed to open the door I can just put the extensions on that would give me an extra 4" of clearance if needed

I have seen adds about these lifts but never seen one in operation. If it can lift up this old girl it must be pretty tough. Is it fairly stable once it’s in the air.

Why don't mid to late 1960s Imperials appeal to you? Most of your Imperials are very similar.

It will be great to follow the progress.
I like that lift.

A lot has changed in 60 days. The three cars on the left and the big truck are gone. You can see the 62 imperial convertible hiding as well as an all original 77 NY with 30k miles. I love a lot of different cars, my preference is for 55-61. That's the majority of my collection. Then I have my fun cars. Stuff I get just because I like big and oddball cars.

That is a nice shop, mostly storage? I don't see any tool boxes or mess on the floor

It's new. I have a house being built and the garage was done first. I use it as excess storage for the museum currently. Toolboxes and all of that will be going in soon. I won't be living on the property till August/September.

That’s a beautiful shop. I am sure many people on this site would love to have one just like that, including myself.

I spy with my little eye what appears to be a Chrysler Royal ute.
