One last request for advice before I buy new wheels...

One thing to keep in mind, I have heard from many people and seen on friends cars how the Wheel Vintiques Magnum 500 rims have a serious problem with rusting. I have been debating about installing a new set on my car, but after reading many posting, have decided to keep with the original moper magnum 500 rims and just clean up the paint. I will probably just keep my eye out for a good set of originals.
Here is a post on the FBBO site where may people chimed in about the various mfg. and quality issues on the repo magnums.

Wheel Vintiques Magnum 500 Wheel Quality
Partially correct.
The chrome on the Magnum 500's will rust if not taken care of properly.
I have the Wheel Vintiques Magnum 500's.
I give them a good waxing with Mothers chrome polish each spring when the car is taken out of storage. I do a ton of summer driving even in the rain and my car stays outside all summer.
When I wash the car I have a separate set of rags and chamois for the wheels where i clean and dry them off.
No rust issues.
If I never kept them clean and not dry them off after each wash yes they will rust.

Your car is simply amazing. That color looks great on that body style. Thanks for the advice. I'm going to do the same with the same product. Hopefully the air of Long Island doesn't kill them sooner.

Beautiful car. I run 275/60/15 on the back and 225/70/15 on the front of mine.

Awesome car bro!!

How was the fit of those 275's? This has been the ongoing argument everywhere that they are too tight.

What backspacing? Any lift back there?

Thanks. They fit nice but it is close, been on there for many years so I’m not exactly sure what back spacing I have to be honest. We have three 65 Sport Fury’s all run 275:60 in the back with no issues, two of the cars have SS springs from Eaton with an extra Inch in the arch, the other car is running the original leaf springs and setup.

My dads Plymouth 275/60/15 rear and 215/70/15 on front. This one is totally stock leaf springs and shocks.

Not sure on the earlier models but I like a 235/70 up front on a 7" rim, neutral back space

looks great. Who makes the keystone rims you have on both of those SF?
Thanks. Crager makes them now and you can buy them through Summit Racing. The set on the convertible are from the 80s and the hardtop from around 2005 or so.

Done! And I couldn't be happier!! Thank you all for your help and advice! Wheels look awesome and ride great. Really appreciate your help as always.

Coker Magnum 500's
15x7 front
15x8 rear

BF Goodrich Radial T/A's
215 65/R15 front
255 60/R15 rear
I'm very happy with the rake and look.

255's fit great, no issue. A little tight getting in, but once your passed the fender, plenty of room.
