Difference between regular and wagon exhaust

During this idle time where I spend half my day in classes and my other half staring at a blank wall, I have begun to create a list of all remaining parts needed to finish my 1971 Polara sedan. Of course one of items is an exhaust system. I am leaning towards TTI 2.5 inch H pipe system, as I will be using HP manifolds on my 383. However, I like the way the wagon exhaust exits compared to the turn downs for the other C-body kits.

Now speaking rhetorically, would the wagon system be able to be used on my sedan without any modifications? Or would it be better to purchase half the kit and have an exhaust shop bend up the rest?

I would check the overall length wagon vs sedan. I am not sure the wagon is the same length. Any difference in length will be behind the axle.
 
Wagons have their own wheelbases versus the sedans IIRC but not 100% sure.
Walter stick with the sedan system. The hangers location is different too i think.
You will not be dissappointed with the pipes straight back.
Just have rhe turn down tips out past the bottom of the bumper 2 or 3 inches.
Done 3 cars and love the Tti system.
 
The wagons have the exhaust to the side for a reason.
So fumes do not backdraft into the tailgate with window down.
For the sedans make sure the trunk weatherstrip seal is in good condition or replace with new to keep fumes from coming in the car.

As of now, the car is still far from being on the road. Lots of rust still needing to be tackled. This is just out loud thinking for the next year.
 
Dodge non-wagons have the same wheelbase as all the P, D, & C wagons do, 122 inches. The only difference in the tti kit between sedan and wagon will be the tips or end pieces at the very rear as seen in the pictures. Even when used on a wagon, the wagon tips usually have to be trimmed to length, as you would need to do if you installed the wagon system on a sedan.

Awesome, thank you! Looks like I will plan on purchasing parts of the kit from TTI and then having a shop build the rest.

I know the TTi system can be pricey but buying bits and pieces and getting a shop to do the rest may not be saving much money in the long run.

You will need the tti front pipes to fit the HP manifolds and the tailpipes. Having a shop bend tailpipes.8
Basically half of the tti system.
Does your exhaust shop do mandrel bends?
You may as well bite the bullet and get the whole system. Easy to install and fitment is top shelf.
I bought the Boab's system in 2014 when I had the money. Installed 2017.
