Greetings to all you C-body shut-ins. I am doing some detailing of the engine compartment of my '67 Newport Custom, and want to buy some new decals. I honestly don't even know what stickers or decals would have been stock back in '67. The only sticker that is currently on the car is a yellow one that is on the radiator core support, but it was in bad condition and it wasn't readable, so I just scraped it off when I painted the core support.

If anyone can tell me what decals or stickers would have originally been on the car, and where to buy reproductions, I'd be most thankful. By the time this whole thing is over, I will have finished every project around the house and watched every video on youtube, so I don't know what to do next! Thanks again fellas, Rich in Tampa

Thanks Stubs. I should have researched what stickers were under the hood originally, and then as I type this I see all the Mopar parts places advertised to the right of my screen, so they will probably have what I need.

The online engine compartment photos I see do not show many decals on the '67 C-bodies.

Ive got these available. They’re $8 each including postage.

Osborn's catalogue is hard to navigate, as there's no pics of any value... additionally, I can't see an air cleaner service decal that fits 1966 440 dual snorkel.

Anywhere else to see his stock better?

I have always had a hard time with a great many of the sellers of these decals, they list decals as being correct that are not, decals that were never used, one size fits all...

I understand a 1967 Newport may be different but my 1967 Barracuda didn't have the Cleaner Air Package decal, never did! My air cleaner decal had a part number similar to what Matt posted. Not relevant here but the 1967 Barracuda didn't have a jack instruction or tire pressure, looked into this back in the 80's couldn't find on that did. The point, do your research, air cleaner decals are different for each air cleaner, not all cars had all decals.

Hi Rich, as you'll probably recall I also have a 67 Newport Custom. Since it's a survivor I think the stickers are what came from the factory. There are two stickers, one on the radiator support and one on the air cleaner. AC cars probably had some AC specific stickers too, but mine isn't. Here are a couple of pics. Sorry they are not very clear, but that's the best I have right now. I won't be getting my car out of storage for another couple of weeks, I can send better pics then if you'd like. Hope this helps

nice clean engine compartment. any reason you painted the engine bay black and not body colour.

Thanks Livininharrow, sorry to take so long to reply. I can't seem to get this site to link to my email and send me new responses...it says I've selected that option, but something isn't quite right.

Regarding the black engine bay: that was done by a previous owner, probably around the time when the car was changed from green to red. Judging from the quality of the paintwork in the door jambs and trunk, it would seem that the repaint was done to a high standard. But outdoor streetside storage before I acquired the car wasn't too kind to the paintwork, but as a driver it's just fine. When I find that box of money I plan to have the car re-painted, again red, because it will be so much easier than going back to green, which probably was an awesome color. But I think the black engine bay looks pretty presentable.

BARRY: Thanks for the photos, I swear our cars look almost identical. It's funny that you say you're almost ready to get your car out of storage...here in Tampa we only have about a month of prime cruising season left, after which is just gets too screaming hot and humid to attend car shows. But I'm an Ohio boy so I know all about the long drawn-out winters, which seems to be the case this year. Snow today in Columbus, in mid-April! I don't miss that for sure! I'd love to see any and all photos of your car once you get it out of storage, and let me know the vin, I'd be interested to see how close our cars are. Just today I had the rightside door panel off, and on the backside it was stamped OCT 21 1966.

Stay safe gents, we have an evil and insidious threat to our well-being, not to mention a viral pandemic.

Rich, I think you're right that our cars are pretty close to being the same. I put up a thread shortly after I purchased mine, it has some history and a bunch of pics. Here's the link: My New Ride - 67 Newport Custom

Also, I did bring my car home on Saturday, it was one of the few nice days we've had in the past couple of weeks.

I don't think there'll be many shows or cruise nights this year, but I sure like having it here. I have some things to do to it over the summer, so that'll be fun.

I did take some pics of the stickers under the hood, take a look:
