Coolest thing(s) I've seen in awhile.

It's for the low rider look unless the previous owner was really short and wanted to lower the seat for easier entry (pcspeak midget, short person, nope, little people) :D
You just need to get the correct U-Bolts, chuck the blocks and I doubt anything was done to alter the driveshaft angle. Usually you only worry about the pinion angle is when you raise up on a truck and the axle is mounted under the springs. Some blocks have a compensating angle to tilt the pinion up, but on very large lifts you have to do serious work to the driveshaft to keep it from eating u-joints so they go with straight blocks.
I sure you will have to crank up the torsion bars too.

BTW Nice acquisition! Is the paint & shine as delivered or have you sent it to the buff-shop already?
Thanks for the info. Hopefully a quick fix back to stock and the correct ride height is restored. The paint is maybe 2 years old. It looks great in person, too.

Also it's bending my mind as to what this doo-hickey is: (left arrow)

Number 2 arrow shows the reduced distance to the frame bottoming out snubber which destroys the luxo ride when you hit a bad bump, plus due to the lowering whatever else scrapes going over speed bumps and entering ramps/pads into parking lots. Check your rear bumper for road rash. Also looks like you got new tires so you will want to check the front end alignment in case they altered that for the lower ride.

(edit) also it maybe a PITA to get the tire out/in when you get a flat as you don't get as much axle drop when you jack it up.

I like the lowered look, but I can understand your reasoning, besides wanting an original look. I had played with the idea of just cranking down the front a couple of inches for stance. But with all of the potholes, dips and uneven surfaces into back lanes and parking lots, I doubt if my undercarriage would survive two weeks. I also don't want to ruin the ride.

If you do, plan on getting a wheel alignment. It's not as easy as just loosening the torsion bars. It changes the entire balance of the front end specs. And that goes for the guys who want a higher front end.

Without the aid of a trained professional (preferably one with some experience with an alignment machine) the car can become quite "Squirrelly" at speed. That's why with our c bodies, or any torsion bar suspended car/truck, the FSM recommends setting the ride height first!

Spitting image of my old Fastop. Of course mine being only 12/13 years old was in much better shape. (until I was done with it )

I'm just going to post this here instead of starting a new thread.

While stuck at home I'm watching a lot of Youtube. I found this and thought it was pretty cool. A small channel, but they must've had a lot of fun making this. A Chrysler C-body appears in it too.
