I hear you can get a good LS outa the junkyard and pump it up to very high HP stock easy.

I recently saw an article talking how LS engines with stock bottom ends were running 6 second 1/4 mile times, and how no engine has ever done that before. The folks who wrote this need to go back to when they pulled 392 Hemis out of Imperials in junkyards and ran that quick with blowers and nitro.

Well LS engines are the rage for good reason. If I was a kid I would be very interested and "stick it in anything",,remember those days?

First, there are now several generations of LS-architecture engines. Second, they do run great and get good fuel economy, even in 1/2 ton pickups (cylinder deactivation and all). Third, might they run that well in another vehicle with a AVS2, normal electronic ignition, dual plane intake, etc.? Forth, they are now "everywhere" in the salvage yards, as many Gen III Hemis are, too.

So there are kits to put them "everywhere", but then people put the orig small block Chevy motors "everywhere", too. Nothing has changed EXCEPT that these engines make more power and can power heavier vehicles. The 6-speed automatic trans availability doesn't hurt either.

WHERE are the kits to put GenIII Hemis in places they didn't come?

There ARE kits to change the firing order of the GenIII Hemi so that GM-style controllers can be used for them, though.

Still waiting for "tissue rejection" to kick in on all of those Chevy motors in Fords. Kind of like that neglected motor jumping out of the car and heading toward the oil change place, several years ago.
