That is great to hear, you came to the right place. This is most likely the number 1 C-body Mopar site. Welcome from Connecticut! :welcome:. By the way we are all photo junkies here, and would all love to see pictures of that 300. :poke:

Thank you all for the warm welcome! Here are some pictures of my 70 300. It's a work in progress but I love this car!

After all these years of internet grou;s, how did you luck out and get the name Dodge?

Welcome!

I have no idea! I was just trying to think of a good nickname and I put that in to see if it was taken. I was super excited and amazed to see it wasn't taken already.

Looks fabulous without the vinyl top! Should have made more that way. Welcome!

A console car!

More pics, some underhood shots!

Yes, factory console! I found the broadcast sheet stuffed in the springs behind the back seat. It's in pretty ruff shape (brittle/degraded) due to being back there 50 years, but I did what I could to preserve it. Fender tag is also in place. They both match up. I was able to verify the trim, bucket seats, console, 440 motor, and trans. All matching numbers, except previous owner painted it grey. I'm not that crazy about the color and will change it at some point. The factory color was Y6 Gold Poly. Probably wont go back with factory color because I don't really like gold. The light gold (Y4) is ok, but I have been thinking about Black. Here are a few more pictures.

That is a very nice 300 you have there, and I like the gray outside with the black inside a lot. I love gold too though. That said (and I am not telling you what to do with your car, since the car was originally gold, and it already has the 440, may I suggest painting it back to that color gold and making a Hurst 300 clone?

Thank you SportFury70 for your kind words and your suggestion. I have thought about the Hurst 300 clone possibility. I just don't know where to find the fiberglass body panel additions. Do you know if someone out there makes them? Even if I don't make it a clone, I would love to find one of those hoods.
