1969 Chrysler Imperial Lebaron with ONLY 24,000 miles. It has been sitting on blocks since 1981 with fluid drained. Just recently redid the spark plugs and wiring and started right up. Not sure the value but shoot me your best offer and let’s make a deal!

Found this on Offer Up.

She’s a real looker for sure. Hope she finds good home.. just for posterity though, how bout some more pictures.. thx

Someone took a 12 YO Imperial and put it up on blocks (outdoors apparently) for almost 40 years.

Trying to wrap my head around that one.

I dunno Stan, as sitting outside in the Arizona sun, the interior at least just could not look that good even if it had a cover on it.

Steve's right. That car did not sit outside for 40 years anywhere, especially not in AZ.

After about a dozen times getting in and out of that front seat....I'd bet that fabric just goes to shreds! IMO.

Okay I’ll try and post some more pictures. I know nothing about restoring vehicles but the interior does seem to be dried out. This car was inherited from a man that passed away. The last time it was registered from what we can see is 1982 and was sitting in a garage since then. I’ll try to get more pictures soon.

What's that added toggle Switch for ?
Something to do with a Trailer hitch maybe ?

If anyone was having heart palpitations about this car going to derby, or drivetrain donor, I do have a "back up" offer that should top any of that nonsense. Seller seems like a nice guy. I just don't want to go high given that:

1) I have absolutely no need for this car. I have two others.
2) Nice as it looks, it's gonna have to be gone through mechanically.
3) Shipping.
4) Part of the reason for owning an old car is to be social. By summer, that may be a shoot-first, capital offense.

However, I did put an offer in "just because"... It's a top-5 bodystyle and color for me. And it's an excuse to go to Arizona if that's ever allowed again.

I just got back from Arizona. No one anywhere is telling anyone to go away.

Decent looking car. Wonder what his let go price is.

I was kidding a bit with that travel reference. I'm technically a taxpayer, so they damn well better let me in. I told him not to accept any low ball derby/drivetrain type offers and that I'd beat those with a phone call. However, if someone wants to pay closer to his ask, God bless.

Realistically if you could save the paint, you'd probably have a grand into detailing the outside. Another $500+ for the top (although I haven't priced the material in forever, and have no idea what labor runs.) My sources say there is some "pepper" on the chrome. Then new tires. Pray the front brakes work. A trans that sat with fluid in it for near 40 years will be questionable. I asked about the "fluids drained" statement. That occurred in 2020, not 1981, so plan on flushing everything and the consequences. Battery was only live enough for a slow crank, so my eyes never saw it run. I don't think a lot of that fabric is gonna hold up with use. All reasons I want someone else to buy it.

But I'm weird and would hate seeing it destroyed.
