After many many year's of driving the car the way it should be driven we have 1 Carter that's main body is wore to the point the accelerator pump will no longer squirt. We've tried some shim stock & other plungers to no avail... Before I learned the NEWS that Edelbrock has sold out like everyone else! The new Foreign group closed the original Cali facility & moved it to Mississippi & supplied it with cheap worker's...
I bought 2 1902 NEW AVS 500's to install. And complete JUNK out of the box! I've repaired many issue's & got it running & driving. Done some running now as well.
STILL NOT IMPRESSED! Being the new UPDATED super annular boosters & the added accelerator pump I expected a HUGE difference in driveability... There was some difference BUT not much.
ANYONE Else replaced there Carter's & had good success?
TIA

Have you spoke to Scott Smith about restoring your original AFB's?

Long rams can present carb issues that wouldn't happen to the same carb mounted in a conventional position. Scott might be able to help you with getting your new carbs to play nice with that intake.

Yup I spoke with him Thanks.
He's super swamped & is 8-9 Week's out on work currently

I've been completely happy with the eddy 1406 carbs I installed on my long rams. I have no experience with the quick fuels and have never been impressed with Holleys. I have heard other complaints about the AVS's.

I will be happy to bring your Carters back to life. My work is second to none. I am about 3 weeks out on restos and 1 1/2 on rebuilds. Woodruff Carburetor Specialties. 330-799-9479 on the web also. Thanks for the nod fellas.
