78 Newport roof rail weatherstrip

If the extrusion is available, as noted above, save all the molded parts - ends, corners, transitions, and use a qualty "crazy-glue" to make new weatherstrips by gluing the pieces onto the extrusion. I did that on my first C body way back when nothing was available, and it worked excellently.

Ok, this is good stuff. I called RS and got the correct seal coming. Thank you all for the help!!

I inquired about the window whiskers. He does not have them listed for a 78 Newport, but he does have them for a 74-78 New Yorker, with a vent which I have on the Newport.
Anyone know if New Yorker whiskers will fit a Newport?
Thank You, Wolf.

Same year Newport is the same as a New Yorker, they’re just different trim lines of the body style.. if I’m incorrect, someone please straighten me out.

What did it run you if you don’t mind me asking?

Thanks, and that's what I thought, I can't see a difference in the whisker area after looking at pics of both cars, and I imagine they attach the same way, I have done them before on other cars. They are $170 and RS will take them back if they don't fit.
