Is it just me or are people getting more illiterate. Almost makes me think this is a scam it is so poorly written. Maybe I am just old school and things still matter to me but this kind of pisses me off.

I know the theory , if it is, is that lower IQ people are more likely to fall for a scam, so the bad grammer weeds out the people that would not fall for it. I know a few people who have fallen for crazy scams. Part IQ, part desperation. Either way, it sucks. I don't get that feeling from this ad. They would of used a 2 Dr I'd think..

When I read a history book (even as recent as 1930s history) and letters are featured as a source, I feel illiterate seeing the style and vocabulary used back then.

Not only a hose, but BIG bucket and mop...… and yes, this is one of the more illiterate ads. You're spot on with illiteracy. We get new employees with post-grad. degrees that can barely compose a sentence; worse yet, they get indignant when I tell them they have to at least SOUND like they know what they're doing, but I digress...….

As far as the '66 Newport goes though, it DOS look like it MIGHT be a fairly nice car, but you can't tell much from the photos......… . definitely concerned about its fate considering who currently seems to own it...….. guess you'd have to be there/see/drive it. Hope it finds a good home.

Gee guys, its Gary Beck!! Former top fuel driver... pulled to many "G's" and inhaled a heck of a lot of nitro fumes over the years....cut him some slack
:steering:

Well, that there be a 72 Networker! I no a Networker when I sees one!

That's a New Yorker 4 dr hard top, look at the C pillars. Newport is totally different in this area. Wrong side mirror too. Somebody put newport trim on it.

Hard to tell whether its worthwhile to buy when the metal has been in Sweet Home Alabama. I don't think this ad has been deliberately composed for the Stupid, but rather just by one of their "rank and vile." The popular state of mind has ALWAYS been the greatest source of my own existential angst in this continent. Let us not be too smug about other folk's "grammer" or other severe failings. The low level of modern discourse too often seduces the Literati into slothful thinking. This particular cyber-stool specimen serves as yet another example of why I hold little truck with Facebook.

He dropped his price to $3k. If he were 1500 miles closer, I'd drive over to look anyway......
