Carlisle 2020 Official Thread

I went to get a event shirt last July. The design sucked, cheep quality and expensive for a T shirt. I passed and spent the money on food or something.

Was it your car Dave? I remember a blue '68 Chrysler convertible on the 2016 Carlisle shirt (I think it is @MOVE N UP's car too).

I dont recall the 300. Since they changed vendors I don't buy much. Usually I'm good for 4-5 shirts.

My blue 71 was on there several years ago. Of the three cars drawn for the shirt mine was the only running driving car.

I used to buy a hat every year I attended ‘till they quit putting the year on them. The year and unique graphic each year made them somewhat collectible. Now it’s just the same generic hat every year.

I don't understand why they don't do that now. I wanted one with the show name and year on it my first ever year I went to this show, but they just had generic ones. Bummer :(:BangHead:.

1. A friend and I are going to Carlisle for the first time this year and we are driving down from NY. We want to pre register our cars. I see a box for “modifications” stock-3. What exactly are they looking for?

2. Since it’s our first time and we don’t know the flow of things... We got a hotel room for the weekend (hard find) so my question is- We are are registering our cars for the show, do we have to leave our cars there when/if we want/need to leave let’s say on the first day or can you drive in and out? Or is it once you’re in you’re stuck for the remainder of the day? Will we need another form of transportation if our cars are At the show?

sorry for the confusion if any.

Thank you

Yes that is correct. Us C-body folk don't really care about the whole "club" thing, we already have a place to meet anyway.
I’m just trying to get this pre registration form filled out correctly. I’d hate to look like a fool first time going

Fully understand. If you are not part of a club where you are in your state just put "No Club" I suppose. Best of luck, and great to hear you are coming. You will not be disappointed.

First, pre-register. It will save you tons of time. You put the sticker they send you a couple weeks before the event on your windshield and they let you drive in like you own the place.

Don't sweat the "mods" too much. Does your car look fairly stock? If so, just put it in the C body class.

Yes, you can drive in and out of the show. Thursday night is the car cruise at the expo center (near the fairgrounds).

Where are you staying and what part of New York are you coming from?

I agree with John on not sweating the mods (and everything else). Obviously if your car has 4 modifications done like a custom paint job, headers, not factory rims like Eagle Alloy's, and an interior from a different model name Mopar then you will be in the modified class like our '67 Fury III purple sedan is this year in my photo garage. Hope that makes sense.

Regarding the show you can come and leave as you please, no need to make other ride arrangements.

I’m 70 miles South of Buffalo. We are staying in Harrisburg Pike Carlisle pa

We both have wilwood brakes. He’s on efi and I’m on a cast 4bbl with thermoquad and dual exhaust and aluminum radiator. Other than that they both are there and original
