Well, not exactly a pup... He's about 5 years old. We just picked him up this morning from a dog rescue near here. They say he's a Mastiff/Great Dane mix, but we're thinking Rottweiler/Great Dane.

He had surgery last week for removal of his "cherry eye" which is just some skin that was covering his eye.

Another lap dog, I see.

Congrats Big John, he looks like a very nice fellow.

Congrats!! I'd like to have another pooch someday....

Took me 6 LONG years, a bribe of concert tickets for my old man and I, AND a short-to the point talk from my wife reminding me there are many dogs out there who need a good home to get mine. My heart was still broken from my previous dog. Puttin him down was like unplugging a family member...just emotionally crippling, but I'm glad I sacked up and took in Pino, she's a sweetheart.

I'd love to get another dog, but working twelve hours shifts makes it hard, and unfair to the dog. I love the furballs, I pet every dog I can .

It took us 2 1/2 years since losing the last dog. I think the virus quarantine might have been the final push. We kept saying how much we missed having a dog and one thing lead to another.

This was the second dog we looked at... The first one was very aggressive towards other dogs. You have to know when to walk away. This one has had a rough life but he's very sweet. He's got a couple minor issues to work on, but he's a really good dog. This is the fourth dog that we've adopted.

Unfortunately, rescues always come with some damage or lack of training. Like Scott, I don't have the time to devote to one. King has hit the puppy lottery, congrats on the new addition to the family.
