Sitting at home, bored?

Yep I’m still working 6 days a week but I really can’t wait for my favorite donut shops to open back up.

I just got through laying a vinyl style wood floor in the bath room, also working on the porch roof. Plus like you detmattI can't wait for my favorite eatery to open so I can breakfast inside instead of to go.

I could be busy for a lifetime, I have all kinds of things to do, if I can get some time off work. Food production is essential, and we have overtime, and I'm a sucker for money. Big changes may be on the horizon and I'd like to be ready. Lockdown-wise, I'm still doing everything the way I did before, except for the bars and restaurants thing. Every store I need to go to is open.

But I have actually gotten a lot of small projects done, just finally got motivated to do. Readopting Nikes Just Do It slogan.

Speaking of doing, time to go get some more landscaping pavers for our fire pit. Fourth batch of free ones!

And speaking of pavers I just got 9 bags of cement to make my own 24x36 pavers to put under an older outdoor fireplace. Make it look more substantial and store wood under it. Going to make a form and add leaves for imprints. That plus a bird bath shaped like a big cupped leaf. I made an outdoor kitchen (sink and grill surround) a few years ago and its holding up great. I kept saying I wanted to do more concrete form work but it took until now.

I'm still picking away at my junk, whoops 'art' car parts. Did some repairs and upgrades on Connie and have been improving my cooking capabilities.

Got sidetracked a bit when the old washer crapped out.
So......bought a whole new set, painted the room, ran new vent & gas line and new vinyl plank flooring. And at least ten trips to H.D. New laundry tub and cabinet on order.
Damn these new things are quiet! Lets see if they last twenty years like the previous combo.

Whirlpool Duet? I have the washing machine and am waiting for the Roper dryer to die before I replace it.

Further on the SD Card saga, naaa the low price wasn't a warning, my experience with memory is as soon as a faster speed comes out they mark down the old stock real quick, then there is the supply & demand, if there is a glut in the pipeline they'll mark it down.
I've seen them on sale again at around this price level again.

I put them both in my new phone and they ID'd up even though I thought the phone had a 32GB card limit, showed the card max size, the phone app to read the manufacture data of the memory cards show that they are bonafide SanDisk cards. The card are fast on my computer which is a sign of a quality card and format up to maximum capacity on my phone. But I haven't loaded them up to max capacity (waste enough of time already) I just got 2 64GB Thumb's for 15 bucks on sale, although slower they work fine on the computer & TV.

I'll have to check the SanDisk forums again to see if there are any similar problem posts, I may just send them back to SanDisk.

I think you were short 2 tiles... :poke:

You know, I thought about how I wanted it to lay out and there were really no good options. A short tile at each end doesn't really look that great, and just gives me another 90 degree angle. Plus, these glass tiles leave a rough edge on the colored backing, which also rules out any angle cuts. So I just buried the short ends in the corner (where the rough edges are hidden), equalized the spaces, and went with an "art deco" look.

Our backyard which is a 1/4 acre faces a large apartment building on the street back of us.
We do pet rescues and have 6 dogs.
Both my GF and I are lucky to be still working since we are both considered essential services.
But people in the building which have no choice but to stay home have nothing better to do but ***** and call the noise bylaw officer on us about the dogs Persistently barking when they are outside.
With our work schedules the dogs are on a strict routine and when they do bark they are brought in.
Add to that all the parks within our area are closed so other people with dogs cant go to the parks..so are they jealous of our property?? Or just pissed that they cannot go anywhere and ***** about the dogs? I am assuming.
So for an entire month I did a log book of times out,how long and times in. Who and what the dogs barked at. Took pictures of other people walking their dogs and even walking up to our fence provoking my dogs!
PLUS I noted of any other dogs barking even when our dogs are INSIDE SLEEPING.
Once we had gathered up all our information we bombarded the bylaw officer with all of this.
So call me crazy for doing this, but the tenants in the building are stir crazy and have nothing better to do but *****.(pun intended) Yet dogs living in the building bark at all hours of the night and just do not shut up.
We have neighbours with dogs on both sides of us but we do not complain about them since we have dogs too.
The bylaw officer says we will not have any problems should there be anymore complaints.

"When Men are employed they are best contented. For on the Days they worked they were good-nature'd and cheerful; and with the consciousness of having done a good Days work they spent the Evenings jollily; but on the idle Days they were mutinous and quarrelsome, finding fault with their Pork, the Bread, and in continual ill-humor." —Benjamin Franklin (1771)

I see both of you guy's used vinyl flooring, is this the stuff that snaps down like wood laminate? I saw them using a vinyl flooring product on a show that was plank style and locked together, it looks quite interesting to me as I will do my kitchen and dining room in the future. I wondered what you thought about it, what brand you used, would you use it again?
