68 Newport with twist

Heater box redo finished while locked up. Screen ain't pretty but really dont want mice in there again. Have been covering every extra hole in body and ducting with the same screen.

Some paint progress. Changed plans and am going to paint dash and some of interior to a ss grey color. Column, adapter and cover finished. Rear deck as well. When room is tight everything is a shed

Better shot of wheel and the start of cleaning up Edelbrock for install. Used one I picked up for this rebuild. Not intending to polish but taking off casting edges and a bit of smoothing. Probably be leaving it sandblast texture

Grind, Glass bead, paint, repeat. Trying to spend time cleaning up all sharp edges and production marks off all parts. Not going to drill the mounts as I have seen done and thought a good idea. Will add a limiter mount instead for motor torque. Suspension components are working there way through process as well.

Other parts going through the process. Light pitting on timing cover being needlessly filled. Keep finding more areas to smooth on intake manifold.

Have a personal goal to try and get at least one thing done enough to post. First one was get control arm pivot moving freely and then make up some boxing plates for lower surface.

Wow...half a year gone. Strange year as well.
Getting crank/rods cleaned up and measured up. Goal is to get bottom end bolted up next 2 weeks.
Did a little valve cover shuffle. Painted my crappy chrome ones, then found some stock ones but before I could get them painted these M/T covers came along. Hadn't realized how heavy those old school covers are and plan to run those.

Front end assembled enough to roll and steer. Nice to see it on ground. Unfortunately it was roll it away from big shop to little shop in my own yard.
