66 Sport Fury-From The Beginning

Does anyone have a source for 440 motor mounts for this car. I bought a R & L from RA and they both showed up identical? I'm pretty sure the Driver's side should be different?

BTW, I finally found a parts manual and it should arrive in a couple of days....

I think brackets are different from side to side, but that the mounts are the same. Just put new mounts on the 440 on my 68 Charger a few weeks ago.

Time for another update.
Looks like we're getting closer to getting the paint. Doors, fenders, and hood installed and some final sanding/alignment work. Still need to install the trunk lid which was held up until I could steal one from the vert parts car (the original was bent and kept locking up). Still a fair amount of trim mounting holes to drill in the "borrowed" fender, door, and quarters since they were not set up for Sport Fury trim.

I received the used radius arm in the mail today since the original was bent. That will probably wait until after paint.

OK this is just a quick peek at brand new paint I just received on a text message.
Still some wet sanding and stuff to do and this paint literally just happened a few hours ago.
I'll post up some better pics in the morning cause you know I'm gonna be there bright and early...

I'm really happy with this color!!!

Fabulous!

I'm drooling all over anticipating seeing that car out in the sun once it's been cut-n-buffed.

Dropped off all of the stuff I got from Steelrubber this morning-trunk/hood/door & window seals and the cat whiskers. Also got a good deal on a set of after market door handles.
Started cleaning up some of the badges to have them ready for after the wet sanding/buffing.
SR package included the windshield gasket and the new windshield is already at the shop.
All of the trim and front grill is in Michigan waiting for the de-anodizing shop to reopen so that's probably not gonna make it back until June-July at the earliest since the process is de-anodize/polish/re-anodize and paint the interior matching belt trim and headlight surrounds.
Next we're gonna paint the dash, install the outer wheel wells and splash guards, paint/reinstall the vert top frame, paint/undercoat the underside of the car, and restore the steering wheel.

Looks good. Sounds like you almost had the windshield installed today as well, but that the gasket was wrong. The glass installer that went to install your windshield came from there to install the windshield on my 68 Charger. My windshield is finally in.

Jim we got the gasket from Steel Rubber? It fits the windshield but is too thick at the base to go in the car so we have another on the way....I'll be interested to see if they'll refund my $$$$$?

BTW here's what the paint looks like out in the daylight.
